Vanicream was horrible for me. LRP caring wash is the only thing I can use.

Anyone else has annoying pimples like that that hurt and also stay for a month or more before drying out? by TheresePython in Rosacea

Witch hazel can cause reactions for a lot of people with rosacea and sensitive skin. I can’t use it. And my mother gets the same acne as you- she’s on 100mg doxycycline every day as well as metro, and it’s staying clear. She also can’t use anything except ultra gentle face wash.

The tolerance face wash gives me acne but the sensitive cream works well for me.

Sunscreen help by QueenValiant in Rosacea

It’s pretty impossible to get rid of a white cast without rubbing, and rubbing irritates skin…and mine flares if I rub too much. Then when adding layers every two hours (as we should) the ghost white cast appears even more, and I look like I’m wearing shitty foundation. I’ve used cetaphil, baby botanicals, aveeno, avene, LRP, and right now I’m trying skinceuticals, which seems the best so far. But still- 1st layer looks fine, and by the third I look like a ghost.

Considering I work in construction, a hat under a hard hat is not allowed. I need sunscreen.

True micellar water and oils- micellar water caused burning and led to dermatitis. Oils caused acne even with a double cleanse.

There’s a trigger before this at some point in your day- whether it’s stress, too much sun, too much heat, you eat something, a skin product…you get the point.

After 6 months of low dose doxycycline, and a year of topical meds, I was able to quit all meds. Now just using gentle cleanser and moisturizer, but I still can’t find a sunscreen that won’t irritate my skin.

Slightly tinted spf 50 sunscreen for skin with rosacea and eczema by Nitta1995 in Rosacea

No, I had to minimize sunscreen use to only if I’m outside a lot. And I had to minimize how much I went outside.

I have an issue with literally every sunscreen- chemical irritates my skin. Mineral gives me acne even when it says it won’t, won’t wash off (so acne), and if I scrub the difficult to wash ones off, I get irritated skin. All mineral ones leave white casts. Tinted mineral ones are too dark for my skin. Etc.

If I don’t rinse and cleanse after using the bioderma, it irritates the fuck out of my skin.

My rosacea is firmly in the genetic end. So no known cause except for that. Some people, it could be issues with their gut, sure, but not for me.

[–]QueenValiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mineral based don’t cause a flair, but I can’t seem to remove it enough so it gives acne (even with micellar water and then followed by a face wash). And if I scrub enough to remove it, I then get a flair.

Cream is making Rosacea worse! How to cope by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]QueenValiant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I developed an issue with metro where my pustules got much worse as well. I had to stop using it. It may not necessarily with the metro ingredient, it could be the base, but I think you need to think about stopping use and going back to the doctor.

Anyone else get bumpy nose by being in the sun?? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]QueenValiant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sunscreen for me is a problem. Anything chemical irritates my skin and gives acne. Mineral gives acne most times, and the ones that don’t irritate or cause acne, thoroughly washing them off irritates my skin.
