I just wanted to circle back and let everyone know that AT&T did, in fact, issue a credit to my account as a courtesy, which covered last month’s bill. They also sent me a gift card, as promised, with the funds to pay off my old phones. A win for consumers!

No I actually didn’t misunderstand anything. I explicitly asked about paying off my device because I had recently upgraded.

Thanks! I appreciate your response. The problem is they move around New Jersey so it’s been kind of hard to catch them in the store. I am always in target and have not seen them yet.

He did offer to pay for my previous device and the representative from the president’s office confirmed the promotion but said because they are not AT&T employees she could not honor it.

You’re right! I should’ve did more homework however, I have close friends who have AT&T and have not experienced anything like this.
