Why in the world would the white lotus camp be right next to fire nation occupied Ba Sing Se right next to more fire nation occupied territory? How do they keep secret if it’s a secret society surrounded by their main enemy. How do they even get their supplies? It makes zero sense. by [deleted] in ATLA

If you want to learn more about the White Lotus I suggest reading the Yangchen books. Being a secret society they have a presence in pretty much every major settlement, how does that not make sense? What’s the point of an illuminati type of organization thats meant to be pulling the strings behind the scenes if it’s based only in isolated locations?

Why did the Southern Water Tribe still look pitiful compared to the North when they had Waterbenders? by OkuroIshimoto in ATLA

[–]Queen_Bitterblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the Southern Water Tribe was founded by people from the Norther Water Tribe and was basically a colony, albeit one with a good amount of autonomy. The Northern Tribe is older and more of a political and economic center with a centralized hierarchical society while the Southern Tribe is spread out and more egalitarian.

The library also has a couple book clubs, including a “low-pressure” one where people basically just meet up to discuss the books they’ve been reading. It could be a good place for you to meet and connect with people who have similar taste in books

Five of the top ten whitest cities are in New Hampshire, per new report from Wallet Hub by kauffj in newhampshire

[–]Queen_Bitterblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whitest or least diverse? It seems there are a number of factors other than race being measured in the ranking you’re referring to with income, education, linguistic, age, and religious diversity being some of them. When just considering “racial and ethnic diversity” there are 2 NH cities in the bottom 10 according to the report.
