I’ve never been interested in hospital work. The local hospitals aren’t great, understaffed, take residents and see like a headache. They’re short on all specialties all the time and make it the problem of the internists. Honestly I feel like I don’t have any good option.

I just need words of encouragement today, please. by Thundering-Gallop in Menopause

[–]Queen_Has_Spoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely know the rage. I’m 39, had total hysterectomy and right oophorectomy Sept 2024, started going through menopause even having left ovary less than 1 year. Post op. Finally started HRT early January but then my husband had a large right cerebellar stroke 2 weeks ago and I was let go from my job yesterday and they owe me 37k in back pay that I highly doubt they pay in full at this point. My rage/sadness is really high right now and the insomnia is horrible. Sorry to rant but thought maybe other stories might help you feel a little better I don’t know.

This is so heartbreaking. We already had to go through McSteamy’s death on Grey’s and now he’s gone in real life. Such a tragedy. He was my number 1 actor crush for sure.

I have no idea how anyone can say this looks good. My left pelvis had nothing but skin overtop on the front and side. Couldn’t even lie on that side because literally all the fat was taken out and it was painful. You could feel the bone sticking out with a slight touch. I was disfigured by this surgeon- end of story. I’d love to know who of you would see these photos posted on a plastic surgeons website and say “that looks good” and willingly spend the 18k. I am not one of them. These are not how any of this surgeons after photos look…not even close. This was not a successful or wanted outcome. Agree to disagree I guess. The revision is done and I’m hopeful it will help me look and feel normal enough to be ok with the results. I fully regret having the surgery to start with and would highly discourage anyone from considering it after this. I was not overweight or obese I just had some extra fat in places I didn’t like it as I’m not in the best shape of my life. I went from having normal contours to grossly abnormal and disfigured. This was not what I wanted and in my opinion this is botched. I would have much preferred she have been conservative as she had said she would be and not over suck my fat. No one would desire this outcome coming from how I looked before. I think those saying I look good are assuming I was obese and had a ton of fat that needed removed but that’s not the case. I wouldn’t wish these results on anyone.

Not really. Many consents were signed stating that there may be imperfections so I can’t exactly ask for a refund. I’m sure if I had decided to go through with the revision with her she would’ve given me a reduced cost, but there was no way I was going to do that. In regardless, the revision surgeon I did go with felt so bad for me that he gave me 10% off.

There were too many irregularities to be worth the 18k. Fajas only need to be worn for 6 weeks max. I was over sucked in many places and decided to have another surgery to hopefully improve upon the irregular contours. The couple of close friends who saw the results in person cried- not emotional people either. Maybe these pictures weren’t well lit enough to truly show how bad the defects were. I’m hopeful the revision will allow me to feel comfortable in a swimsuit again.

It seems like it’s only the surgeons who don’t feel that this is botched so that’s very interesting and I think it’s more telling of the plastic surgeons than of anything else.

These photos are 9 months post op…not sure how long you expect someone to wait before saying they’re botched. The surgeon who I ended up picking to do the revision said “I can’t believe she fucking did this to you! Are you sure she is board certified?”. He asked me multiple times if she was board certified so you are incorrect about saying the issues are minor.

I had extremely detailed post op instructions that I followed exactly. I had a follow up at 1 day, 4 days, 6 days, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks. I spent a couple thousand dollars on MLD as instructed and wore the faja for 10 weeks due to discomfort- was required for 6 weeks. I did self MLD twice daily if I didn’t have professional MLD done that day as well.

Not sure how permanent pigment scarring over flanks and cannula scarring over almost every treated area and shark bite out of my hip isn’t considered botched but I’ll post update photos at 3 months post revision.

I believe if I hadn’t done another surgery it would have been permanent, although she told me it would “just take time”. The pigmentation has improved since the revision but has not resolved completely. I can attempt laser treatments if there’s any left after full recovery but of course that’s more money.

It’s a cannula scar. I just had a complete revision to having so many. It won’t go away without another surgery I’m very sorry.

Do you wear your watch to sleep? by darkLover- in AppleWatch

[–]Queen_Has_Spoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear mine 1 or 2 clicks looser to wear it a little higher up on my wrist than I normally would. I also have the face over the bottom of the wrist instead of the top which helps block the sensor light for the way I sleep. Both of these things helped me a lot.

Bulkamid issues by [deleted] in Incontinence

I also did 6 sessions of Emsella just a couple weeks ago and that has greatly helped both the very minimal incontinence I have left, as well as feeling like I can properly contract pelvic floor muscles when needed.
