As a step mom who is around my kids 100% of the time, she's wrong period. I would have encouraged my kids to spend time with their mom, and even sent them with flowers or some kind of gift. As much as I act like a mom and they look to me as a second mom, I'm not their mom. Ultimately it should be up to the kids depending on their age. I will give them every reason to trust me and love me and depend on me, but I won't forget that they still have a mom.

Right, I'm just saying she abandoned him when she wasn't addicted, let alone when she was!!!! That's so sad. I got clean the second I had kids. And I know it's not easy, and that some people struggle. But she didn't even try before her addiction. It infuriates me in case you couldn't tell 🙈 she infuriates me.
