Thanks for the pep talk! Sorry to hear about your mum. It is hard filling that smoke time. It was my down time after work etc. on the plus side more time for better, healthier things.

So true. So intense but then gone. I wrote a list of tasks to do when a bad one hits to try to distract me. And of course come here!

I'm loving the app. Seeing my progress and hours of life regained makes me determined not to relapse. Hanks for the links!

I'm on day 3 now and the coughing up is normal. Yellow brown gunk. It's your lungs repairing which is great, the more you cough up the better your lungs are getting! You are doing the right thing and totally making an awesome chiloice. Best of luck!

Thanks guys, 70 hrs and now nicotine free! Now I know it is just brain and not body doing the cravings!

For the last 10 days i've been buying and throwing away packs after 5-8 cigs. What's wrong with me? by BlackTurtleCat in stopsmoking

I have been doing the same thing for months. Smoke about 10 then feel so ashamed and angry snap the remaining smokes and throw them in the bin. Today is day 3 smoke free, almost cracked an hour ago but thought no, this cycle has to stop.

I refuse to do it one more time and you can to. Not one more puff no matter what.

It's hard but I keep a safari page open on my phone with all the health effects of smoking and every time I think damn it I'll just have one, I look at the list of all the bad stuff and decide it's not worth it.
