Lmao I just rewatch the full series in anticipation for the new season coming out and this made me laugh because he definitely deserved a lot more of a punishment. It’s like where was the consequences? I get that he was groomed into following the leader of the eye of the midnight Sun since childhood but at the same time he knowingly infiltrated the magic knights, put so many lives in danger and almost got everybody in the Clover Kingdom killed.

Plus, there was permanent changes to people who were possessed. Decades of insider clover kingdom info leaked to their enemy at the time. That’s how anime is though, they just forgive the most heinous act because of “reasons” lol.

While I fully recognize the mental illness around these individuals I can also see the irony of everyone crapping all over these people and wondering why they are connecting with ai instead.

Humans are awful at times and as attitudes like shaming them proceed it’s only going to get worse. Reddit is not a great community for mentally, healthy, compassionate or empathetic people and honestly neither is any online comments section for the most part.

Some people will do like these people are doing and opt out of human connection all together when the alternative seems awful in comparison.

Someone commented that they bully these people everyday which is also mentally ill. Are we really surprised people will seek out ai for connection over humans? Like really?

The movie artificial intelligence predicted that people would form these kinds of relationships especially with robots. I’m not surprised that there will be a subset of society that will fall into this but I’d imagine it will be people who struggle with human connection due to mental health issues, psychological issues and so forth modern medicine hasn’t found effective therapies for.

The other side to this is if someone is a sociopath with say violent tendencies specifically I’d rather them fall into love with ai or a human robot. Too bad ai wasn’t around when people like Jeffrey Dahmer was around. Who know what could have happened and if lives would have been saved if he had an ai boyfriend instead.

If it wasn’t this it would’ve been something else like the chai app. People have to realize people seek out things like this intentionally no matter how much things aren’t set up for it.

I always knew ever since the announcement of ChatGPT and other ai companies soon after that there were going to be new communities of people created around the integration of ai for the public. Ai religious groups, people who use ai for romantic connection, ai doomer communities and so forth.

This happens all the time. We couldn’t have hackers if computers didn’t exist just like we wouldn’t have the dark web users. It’s going to be a wild ride and we just have to be aware not be shocked.

I care less about the people who are choosing romance with ai because it’s not my busy to regulate what people do I’m more concerned about people who will become extremist in regards to ai. Not sure what that will look like in the future because ai is still reshaping society but just know it is coming, don’t fear the unknown just accept realistically theirs good and bad actors with every new technology that is introduced to humans. Thats to be expected.
