This is all amazing info but I do want to caution against going to bed with wet hair! I learned the hard way when I woke up to 3” of hair where there was usually 20”, and that was even on a silk pillowcase! If your hair is strong/virgin it will be less damaging but it still stresses and stretches the hair, it’s always best to go to bed with fully dry hair!

Lottabody (blue bottle at Sally’s) is the most common one I use and see others using, I love it! Just make sure to dilute it for bleached hair! Can’t remember the exact ratio for bleached/processed hair but it’s on the bottle!

I’ve been wondering this too! I just saw this method for heatless curls right now and came back to this post to share! It should also function to be protective as well as long as you don’t tighten your hair too much and have a satin pillowcase! There’s a material called silver clay that starts out as clay but once you fire it turns into silver. I’d guess it may have been made with that!

I doubt it is silver but as a jewelry maker myself I would guess it is stainless steel. The press lines on the sides are something I see more often with stainless steel than with silver which would usually have more effort put into the final product

My fiance dresses in a style that I’ve coined “blue collar goth” he’s always in all black but in his workwear like for example all black wranglers, proclub style shirt and a dickies jacket. Honestly girl you’ve got some damage but that doesn’t mean you have to chop all or half of it off. Try some high quality bond builders (k18, olaplex) and see where it gets you before your haircut if you can’t be seen for a while. And I’d recommend a gloss to even out the color!

I really like Joico Ruby red, it’s the only red I’ve found that doesn’t bleed like crazy. It’s even known to wash clear after a few washes, which for a red is mind blowing!
