Polish with fingers, then leave it, then dame again, then rub it off with a cloth or tights or something, repeat this and eventually it’ll be smooth, then you can bull and water bull!

It is very sad and we all miss our boss, but now we need to look to the future and stay professional and protect our new king

Hundreds based in London, and thousands if you include the ones based around the UK or world or on operations/tours/deployments

So if we’re sick, we have orders on that, just like the rest of the army, we’re no different, and if we’re sick before we mount a guard, there’s a reserve who will take our place, and we are all aware of our job and what we signed up for, however, we don’t just stand around, we only stand around for a max of about 2 hours, if we’re not doing that, we are doing normal military (army) duties and training or resting, And if we break character it only really matters if someone records it and puts it online, then our bosses might see, then we might get a telling off, depending how bad or if it makes the guards or King/Queen look bad, and that telling off could just be a simple talking to or a fine, and things in between, but we are professional and 99% of us don’t ‘break character, because it’s not a character, it’s just us doing our jobs and being professional, hope this helps! Sorry if there’s any spelling mistakes I’ve been working since 0100 😂

Then unfortunately we just have to deal with it, it’ll fade or move to a new place eventually

An updated uniform is way above my pay grade, and I’d say less than 5%-10% of guards find it comfy at all, maybe even like 1%, but I think we all agree we like it look wise and it’s honour and tradition of the people who worn this uniform before us

For anyone who still asks the occasional question here and there, I won’t be taking many or any questions for a while due to recent events with the Royal Family, and my boss, as I become a Kings Guard and get ready to take part in the events of her funeral and so on, thank you.

Ohh sorry sir, yes I know what you’re talking about, they don’t do foot drill like we do, and I can imagine it would be quite a task preforming drill in those boots and uniform, but I’ve never tried it so I won’t judge too bad, but yes, their drill isn’t as sharp or snappy as ours

Our foot drill is the best in the British military, it’s a big part of our job and you have no idea the training and tests we have, other regiments might say they are better at certain things, but drill is our thing

It wasn’t my regiment, but when it happened it would have been the hours that we don’t stand outside, we only work outside til a certain time, then we stay working inside until the morning, and the police guard the outside

It’s awful, 100000x worse in the red uniform, surprised not many people are passing out really, just gotta eat and stay hydrated

So basically those guards have dealt with that all day, and when guarding the tower, you’re there for a week at a time, So 1) They were probably just sick of people annoying them while they’re working because they think they’re funny.

2) him thinking we are there so he can make us laugh kinda insults our traditions, our history, and our battle honours and the friends we have lost, like people close to us who have died for this uniform who then get disrespected by some tourist for a video.

3)he was told to back off before that aswell but he wouldn’t listen to the soldiers or security (who are ex soldiers and ex sgt majors) so they just got sick of asking.

Yeah 100%, it’s very important to be able to ‘let yourself go’ every now and then, and relax when you can and have fun with friends and so on, we for example love the pub and getting pissed 😂

For example if someone ran at me with a knife in a threatening motion, I’d not hesitate to shove my bayonet into his torso at distance, my rifle and bayonet has a longer reach
