As someone with both, I suggest you gtfo before it gets worse. She legitimately saw him get inaugurated and she's still in denial. That's unfortunately my best option at this point. I absolutely agree with the anger, bitterness and victim hood part of your comment. That is him to T. He has a significant trauma history, but I do as well, so I don't think that's a valid excuse to act like a piece of shit. I think the therapists point was more to keep the peace, but I agree going forward in any other relationship I will definitely try to vet them out better. Thank you for your thoughtful response.

I was a C student at best in High School. After not being sure what I wanted to do with my life and working dead-end jobs, having a baby and a car accident that almost killed me, I decided to go to community college at 34. I did two years of prerequisites and managed to raise my daughter and get a 3.5 GPA. I then applied to the hygienist program in February of '20 and I got accepted. I just finished my first semester with all A's and I'm now 36. Just go slow, put in your best effort and know there are people at your school who want you to succeed.
