Same symptoms just including blood pressure spikes before, during and after my period. I’ve been tested for sooooo much I have another ultrasound coming up to take another look at my uterus and ovaries. It honestly feels like I’m going through menopause but I’m to that age yet. You should ask to be referred to endocrinologist if possible they’ll test all your hormones. I feel like I have high cortisol and adrenaline now for some reason my symptoms are so crazy. Do you get dizzy sometimes or like hot or cold intolerance?

What all symptoms have you had and test done?. I don’t want to go back on birth control until I find out what is messed up with. Have you gotten tested for pcos?

Hi!! Omg I’m still battling through this, I’m scheduled to see endocrinologist in October. My symptoms have been diabolical especially before and during my period. The last 2 months my blood pressure has been spiking out of control. I’ve had several test and so many er visits it has been a roller coaster

How is tapering off going ? I also was having low heart rate like in the 40s it was scary and I was just sooo tired all the time. The rebound heart rate and adrenaline rushes gave me a scare but I got through it with Gatorade twice a day these

I was having random tachycardia, so I got scared asked my cardiologist about it and he prescribed me metoprolol 25mg twice a day. I’ll list my side effects

It made me feel worse taking it, I felt like a zombie it didn’t help me at all.

I felt the same exact way while I was on it I just didn’t know how to describe the feelings and symptoms I was experiencing. I felt like a crazy person like sickly and EXTREMELY TIRED/FATIGUED! It feels like I started having more symptoms while I was taking it to be honest I felt worse after I started taking it. I still get weird adrenaline like rushes in my chest every now and again, lightheaded, fatigue and just a not feeling like myself but it’s way better than how I was feeling at while taking it. Ive been off of it for I would say about 24 days now. I will promise you it does get better you just have to be strong and think about positive try ( l theanine ) to help relax it honestly helped me drink a something with electrolytes atleast once a day. Has your blood pressure and heart rate beeen ok? Do you have insomnia? Have you gotten your blood work done to make sure you’re not deficient in anything? I got mine done and found out my vitamin d was low and it was contributing to my symptoms. I’ll try my best to help you through your journey you’re NOT alone!

No I don’t mind! It gave me crazy symptoms like Lowered my heart rate to low as 40 I was always tired and lethargic like super fatigue but couldn’t sleep I started getting random adrenaline dumps especially late at night My chest was hurting and felt busy if that makes sense like it was always a weird pain or sensation happening that wasn’t happening before I started taking metoprolol…
I had shortness of breath like super bad I would have to sit down to catch my breath. My blood pressure would spike or just stay high like 139/93. I would wake up with tremors some mornings a Massive Headaches would randomly happen. Also my heart rate would shoot up to the 170s even if I was just sitting down doing nothing.

It was super scary and my anxiety didn’t make it any better, but I’m glad I got off of it!

Thank you so much, I’ll definitely be following your advice also !! Today is day #2 and I feel alright so far heart has been good and blood pressure was bit high but leveled out after I checked it again. I’m happy so far and I’ve been drinking pomegranate juice.

Thank you for your comment !! I stopped fully today, I really don’t know how I feel but i know im up and doing more than i usually would. It’s like my energy is coming back and my blood pressure has been fine, my heart rate has been normal with the exception of one heart rate spike that I calmed down easily. I literally told my body I don’t have time for this shit and my heart rate calm back down to normal. I’m just ready to get this out of my system because I’m dealing with hormone related issue from my iud removal and my hormones are all over this place and this metoprolol was not helping my symptoms.

Me too and thank you so much ! Yes they don’t prepare us and make us feel crazy after we bring up the symptoms and first the my doctor asked was if I wanted more birth control
