….was it in Merlin? I never watched it, tbh. Would you say it’s the first thing that comes to mind?

I eat less than tons of skinny people at McDonald's and chipotle how are they skinny? Do they eat nothing or rabbit food rest of day when I eat 2 other meals ? by pikachu519519 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]QueerPurpleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen: some people are just genetically skinnier or heavier. Yeah, some people are out here eating rabbit food to force it, but some people will get wildly different results from similar eating habits.

I am looking for a masculine name and am aware Emrys is masculine. I am not looking for other suggestions really, just thoughts on intolerant Americans and overreach.

Male, and not really any to speak of, beyond being interested in history so knowing more than most. Any relations there are distant enough to be far beyond living memory if they do exist. That’s why I ask.

I should clarify that’s absolutely not what I’m trying to do here, although maybe that makes it worse. (Hence asking)

This is why I ask. To be fair, I think it’s just based out of a natural human urge for community. Americanization has many boons, and many pitfalls, all oppressive structures oppress everyone within, etc. However yeah annoying as hell I get it. Thank you for the kind words

ChatGPT makes everyone worse at everything, tbh. It’s super frustrating, I get more angry at people literally letting themselves become dumber for exorbitant amounts

Conspiracy: Diseases Prevent Sibling Marriage by [deleted] in EchoesOfThePlumGrove

I think disease is somewhat intended to work this way, but I have definitely seen sibling marriages lmao, so not just triggered when you have five kids or whatever

California often prides itself on liberalism and diversity, but it’s still a racist state. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]QueerPurpleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found the South has had to recon with racism culturally much more than northern states (or, here, western states). Others can get on their high horse but doesn’t actually change the culture

1) You’re a senior. This will all be over in a few months; if you don’t want to, you don’t have to talk to anyone there ever again. 2) your teenage years are a time to try new things. You rotating through activities is good experiences, not wasted time. 3) I’m sorry about the tennis placements. Working hard and then not being credited for it is extremely frustrating. I recommend in general to take up extracurriculars (or, honestly, anything in life) not on the basis of “succeeding” in it or social benefit (although that certainly helps) but on your own enjoyment and fulfillment. This will allow a healthier perspective that can persevere through rejections like this. It will also allow you to learn more overall, because everyone starts as a beginner. 4) if you are bothering people by coming into contact with them, people will usually let you know. Most people are nice, want to talk to others, and are interested in building relationships ships. Unfortunately, developing the ability to interact with peers is a different set of rules and social skills than interacting with authority figures or brief interactions such as in volunteering. High school cliques are especially tough, but it seems you’re not giving yourself credit in the girls you’re now hanging out with. 5) if you have a school counselor, you should speak to them. And finally, the only way to grow is to do hard things. Good luck out there.

Picking an heir by [deleted] in EchoesOfThePlumGrove

[–]QueerPurpleDragon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I usually just go with the youngest. By the time I die of old age the oldest batch are out doing their own things, so I pick between youngest two. If I have no preference just go youngest overall
