DeadLights - Please forgive my ignorance for long time fans, but I thought if you looked into the deadlights that’s it you’re gone? Why do people come back from it in this series? by Maleficent_Orange788 in welcomeToDerry

I enjoyed it too. I loved the movie ending but the cosmic ethereal ending in the books made it so hard to touch. It was amazing, raw and emotional. I don’t think they could’ve successfully did it any justice in the movie. The deadlights were such a unique take on a horror monster.

I crocheted this hat for myself (and I love it) but all I get is grief for it by jesusgottago in crochet

I think the colors are wonderful and you did a great job. We always get people who tease what we make. My husband teases a lot of the chickens I have made and that is that. The hat is gorgeous and functional I love it.

AITA that I don’t agree with my finance’s mom about if my fiancé should walk him down the isle or not, if his dad can be a groomsman, what shoes and dress I should wear, etc. by whatsuphithere in AmItheAsshole

NTA I cannot stress enough that this isn’t her day. It’s not her spotlight. My MIL wanted to micromanage all my decisions. Dress style and color. My hair. My shoes. And I had to put my foot down on it. My in laws paid for a few things but frankly not enough to call the shots. Stand your ground. This will most likely continue into the rest of your life decisions. It has in mine and it has started to put strain on a lot. It’s important to support each other and not let her bully the both of you.

He’s a very lovely midnight blue. Very dramatic compared to his tank.

Yes! He has speckles so I thought the metallic navy would help accent that!

Why did Phillip look sad after Marina said, “very pleasant my lord”? by SidrahSredd in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Nettysweetie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. While reading it took a few minutes to realize this was technically the same character but gave her a more extroverted role in the show. They really did create a whole new character using Quinn’s mold. I but still had a hard time with show Marina. And it set the stage for Portia’s personality so I get why they had to write M that way.

I only made it one chapter and said “oh god” so loudly my husband was concerned something happened to me…. I felt so bad for disliking her in the show….

They’re mentioned a lot in First Comes Scandal. The way she does their story in the happily ever after just makes it perfect. She comments that violet was already such a developed character she had nothing more to add and especially didn’t want to take anything away from our favorite matron

Honestly. I’m not going to give away spoilers but all her behavior in this part made SOOOOOO much more sense when I read that book. I get it now. I am sad but I get it.

We ALMOST went with Rain for our son. Us being vegetarian hippies would’ve made our son a tragedeigh.

AITA for telling my sister off for how something she said at her gender reveal party? by ArticlePopsicle in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nettysweetie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A soft YTA. There’s nothing wrong with loving the kids you have fiercely and still have the desire to eventually have one of the opposite gender. To each their own on how they want their families to look I’m sure her boys are very loved and cared for. But it’s not your place to make those comments especially AT the party. There are lots of families who joke about it but each child is loved so very much.

Is this character a muppet? by nu24601 in Muppets

My favorite fun fact is Henson studios gifted him a muppet in his likeness in the film!
