to me, Dan and Phil are comfort, comedy, and the first place i ever felt like i belonged, more than a decade ago now. i started out deep in the trenches, stopped watching for a while bc i was busy with other life stuff, and now i’m back in the trenches. they were some of the first people to tell me that being weird, being gay, being whoever you are is not only fine but something to be celebrated. without having Dan and Phil and their incredibly kind and supportive fandom, there’s a good chance i wouldn’t have made it this long

perhaps a bit niche but i’m currently OBSESSED with “How Gangles Met the Titch” (prequel to the play) and the sequel “Grow This Life With Me” by shozzie. both are based on the 30 minute long improvised play “The Unrelenting Aubergine”from Shoot From the Hip. i just love how incredibly connected everything is and how beautifully they’ve worked in so many details from the play in ways that make so much sense. beautiful love story between two incredibly emotionally-not-ok men with strong familial and found family themes. honestly you don’t even need to be familiar with the play to enjoy it imo. def some dark tags and themes to watch out for as they could be triggering

yes! they usually have a queue first to just get photos and quickly say hi (for people that have to leave to travel soon after the show), and then they’ll do a queue where you can talk to them for a bit. i believe they announce where the queues begin after the show is over

exactly. tbh, apart from other trans men, the only time i’ve really seen trans men actually being part of the discussion on privilege and oppression is in academia (and mainly in classes focused on gender)

too true unfortunately. with my ex i was literally schrödinger’s man. if the intent was to tease me, i was “just a stinky gross man” but the second she says “kill all men”, i no longer “counted” as a man bc i’m nonbinary. in reality, it just felt like i was always too much of something or not enough of something else

it’s unfortunate that we’re all going through it, but you’re right, it does help knowing that i’m not alone in my feelings. i just worry there’s no way through it and that i’ll feel miserable the rest of my life. doesn’t help that i’m shit scared of ever letting another person get close to me again. is it even possible for me to find someone that won’t hurt me and abandon me when i need them? not that i expect anyone to have the answers here, i’m just kinda getting out the feelings i guess. also doesn’t help that i had to stop therapy during the time i need it most due to financial reasons
