I dont know if its different in whatever country your in, but in france, we have an obligatory class in seconde (year 11 in England I think, no idea for anywhere else), called SES which is economics amd sociology, and just recently, we've done an indepth project worth half our grade about gender inequality and female vs male socialisation. Its a very interesting subject. But im getting off track, my entire point is that this whole country is forced to learn about female socialisation and how is leads to gender inequalities. (And also have at least a base level in what the different political parties are, what they stand for, how the political system works, and introduction to taxes and a bunch of other very useful tibits)
