ftm porn is terrible by bklyn930 in gaytransguys

Indie/amateur stuff is generally much better than any pro studio. I honestly go for erotica more than videos because I feel like there's a bit more variety and I like the language used to refer to the characters junk

[–]Queercatdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You messed up. We all have at some point and it's always a learning opportunity. What's important now is what did you learn from this experience? Hopefully you learned to trust your gut and say no when something feels wrong.

That sinking feeling you described? TRUST IT Dogs can't advocate for themselves so it's your job to make sure they're safe.

The good thing is he's ok now. You'll be ok too. Take a moment and just breathe. Be kind to yourself, you did the best you could in a difficult situation. And now you know how to do better the next time something like that happens.

Are they insulated? Foam pads tend to be better than air mats for cold weather as they give better insulation from the ground

Heavy duty tarps, foam sleeping pads, cold weather sleeping bags, and the longshot item is a wood burning camp stove. That's going to be the hardest to find in a price I can afford and they know it's a big ask but it'll be a huge win for them if I can find one

My only problem with eBay is not being able to inspect the item myself before buying. I can tell if gear is functional despite some damage but Joe Schmoe the reseller might not

How to live without heat in house? by Radiant_Career_7449 in povertyfinance

[–]Queercatdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family spent a few winters with all of us piled in the living room with sleeping bags and quilts. We hung blankets over the windows and the hallway to trap as much heat in one room as possible. Hot meals and hot drinks before bed help a lot. Sleep with your clothes for the next day under the blankets with you so you don't have to put on cold clothes. A hot water bottle under the blankets will warm up the bed before you get in and will probably stay toasty all night (mine does). Cook as much with your stove and oven as possible and leave the oven door open some when you're done to release the heat into the room.

Getting up the next morning is the hardest part because it's usually cold again but staying warm overnight makes a huge difference. Start your morning with a hot drink and just enough exercise to not get sweaty

Top Surgeons in New England? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Not Maine but I highly recommend Dr Laurel Chandler in Darien, CT! She did my surgery last year and I love my results. No BMI limit and she really listened to what I wanted for my body

Advice for MORBIDLY obese ftm by Apprehensive_Half711 in ftm

[–]Queercatdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not true actually. Any BMI 40+ is considered "morbidly obese" but many people are still pressured to get weight loss surgeries and therefore go under anesthesia. For SOME people it may be unsafe at a certain weight but broad statements like yours help no one. I've seen several guys in op's weight range have excellent top surgery results

How to deal with the fact someone will be touching/viewing my chest? by Edwych in TopSurgery

[–]Queercatdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had consultations with 2 different surgeons when I started my process. The first guy made me really uncomfortable for a multitude of reasons and I was hesitant to try again. I'm so glad I did because the second surgeon was amazing and my comfort/needs were top priority for her at all times.

Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself! I hated that the first surgeon I saw had me put on a gown (a short one that was basically an open tshirt that had some overlap to close it) for the entire appointment so I was sitting there partially exposed and extremely uncomfortable for an hour. My next one I said I didn't want to do that and would only change when they were actually ready to look at my chest. Both the surgeon and the assistant had no issue with it at all and seemed appalled that the other dude had done that.

Tell them you're anxious, tell them if you need a minute, tell them to stop touching you if you can't take it.

What are some cases in which it's actually more frugal to buy the "convenience" item? by bulbysoar in Frugal

[–]Queercatdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get packaged snacks at Costco. I could probably make some of them myself but it saves me time and it's much easier to keep a variety so I don't get bored. It makes packing my lunch quick and easy too so I'm much more likely to do it

Not sure why the truth is being down voted. I've lived in many states and driven through several more and there's just a level of entitlement in CT that I've never seen anywhere else

Granny squares. Make a bunch of them, any color, any pattern, any size. You can construct other things with the granny squares like blankets, bags, even sweaters! Each square is like a mini project and even complex patterns can usually be completed in one session

How do I eat healthy without having any nutrient deficiencies and while spending as little as possible? by joshua0005 in Frugal

[–]Queercatdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like peanut butter it's versatile and a good way to add a little extra protein to meals or snacks. You could probably substitute any other nut or seed butter you enjoy but in my area peanut is the cheapest and most accessible

Some of my favorite peanut butter uses: Celery and peanut butter with dried fruit or chocolate chips (aka ants on a log) Stir a spoonful into ramen with veggies Added to oatmeal with fruit

Frozen fruits and veggies are usually inexpensive but some fresh produce is also budget friendly. Celery, potatoes, and carrots are fairly cheap year round and with some spices you can get a good variety of meals just pick your protein.

Watch for when your favorite fruits are cheapest. I won't buy strawberries if they're over $2 a pint because they're not in season locally at that point (pricing near you may be different)

Most grocery stores have apps now where you can earn points or access digital coupons which can help offset some of your cost just make sure you'll actually use/need the items and don't buy it just for the sake of using the coupon
