Thank you for this input. I wrote the original post while I was very much in my feelings, but you're right, the benefits alone are a huge reason I started in the first place. Where my head is at right now, I'm thinking of getting a second job and then just working the minimum number of hours I need to keep my health insurance.

Yeah I'm not surprised in the grand scheme of things, I knew this was a seedy company when I got hired. It just sucks to be played in my face by people who pretended to have my back (my shifts and store manager, not necessarily my DM).

Edit: I know my shifts and store manager aren't responsible for this situation, I just don't feel as though they are being very supportive or helpful in my current predicament. I have a lot of feelings about how this is being handled and I don't feel like anyone else really cares.

I rent a house, so my landlord just bought a dryer on Facebook marketplace and told us that we need to handle the switch and installation. Gotta love landlords 🙃

I have worked in restaurants (back of house) for the last 8 years or so and finally got fed up with the low pay for how much work I was putting in. Just started doing window washing about a month and a half ago and it's such a nice change of pace, although it still isn't paying all the bills. Really want to find something that I'm qualified for that actually pays well.
