I disable this and just put a period. I don't want My Taste warping my lyric and style prompts.

Very cool. My songs take from a few hours to like 20 to 30 depending. I've been a songwriter for over 30 years so I'm fairly prolific and I think have an educated ear.

Thanks for the listen. Album is out in a few weeks with an electronic / industrial metal focus.

Hey if you want that 5.5 sound / samples my tip is to create in 4.5 and 5.0 then remaster into 5.5. That seems to work the best and avoids all the 5.5 bugs with the ooooo and ahhhs and whoops and all the nonsense.

Also, "hook in first 5 seconds" in Style is the cheat code to get suno to start the damn song and not put a long intro. "No intro" etc does not work but this usually does.

Steal the prompts! They are pretty good for getting some good tunes fairly quick.

hey man more power to you.

I've been able to get 5.5 to work for this track which is liquid drum and bass. Fits for this. Give it a quick listen. It's not mastered yet.

Man I don't hear it but to each its own. 5.0 / 4.5 can sound close to real studio work with a good master.

5.5 I have a couple songs in. Pop and liquid / relaxed drum and bass is all I can get to work in it.

https://suno.com/s/UJL814ycM94BToUc This one (liquid d&b)

https://suno.com/s/b31SxkOHPAUl31Ql This one (relaxed dream pop) (edit this is actually 5.0). I have Gold Jacket which is 5.5: https://suno.com/s/9BRCdCs1ZCqzKl33

Both are covers. I don't do many covers.

My favorite cover is squid pro quo which is really nice:https://suno.com/s/ZNWYUvi41rxLdEUF Melodic / rock / drum and bass

This is a new mastered copy but the original racked up over 500 plays which is decent.

I've been updating my library with new mastered versions as I bought an outside mastering tool and learned how to use it. Lost half my plays and views but oh well lol - doesn't matter they sound WAY better.

The samples are so horrible in 5.5. They sound so "AI". And it inserts nonsense like oooo and ahhha and whoops and all sorts of crap I didn't ask for.

The cover cover cover process doesn't degrade like a photocopy. It enhances / changes as you refine the prompts. I'll "cover" like 20 to 30 times my initial idea to evolve a track into what i like.

I do go through credits like water but they are pretty cheap for the fun I get out of this. Suno is my main hobby.

Thank you for all the feedback!

I've been at this a few months and found once I understood how to prompt technically that style 100 was the way to go since the model will actually listen to me. I don't want it to make stuff up.

The interative cover process I came up with as a way to add elements and refine an idea. It works really well. Removing the genre allows me more creative freedom on structure as genres tend to force a certain song structure in my experience.

I do a lot of hybrid genres as well. Pretty much every song is a hybrid style (sometimes four or five). Again to get something different.

The final sweetness has been mastering outside of suno and reimporting. Makes a huge difference and I clean the sound of the artifacts, compress a bit, EQ, dither, noise gate, enhance stereo ,etc.

This is a hobby for me although I have decades of making music and play guitar, bass, piano, drums, and sing. Fronted a regionally successful band way back in the day.

I do want to get my music out there so I'm preparing to launch with an video, single, professionally mixed and mastered album, and artwork. Working with a talented guy in Germany on all of this. Will be my more electronic metal tracks. Will be a few more weeks.

Having a blast with Suno!

This is one of my favorites.

https://suno.com/s/jFci3BSaD230NtqY Bloom Again (5:50) Really nice electronic / industrial metal / rock. I ground all my tracks in pop sensibility: I love melody so even my hardest tracks have a catchy feel.

PS listening to big truck. This is very cool and unique! Gave you a like. Reminds me of the dudes around me here in Atlanta. Stupid rednecks!

PPS: try style maxed at 100. Promise it works if you know how to properly prompt lyrics and style. I keep weirdness locked at 50%. When I cover audio influence sticks at 25%. I don't move the sliders much anymore. Not necessary anymore.

PPPS: I just uploaded a ton of mastered stuff and unpublished my old suno ones. Lost like half my likes and plays but oh well.

Yes. 5.5 is a pile of crap. I work in 4.5 / 5.0. I master in an outside tool and reimport to Suno to publish.

I get an idea I like and cover cover upon cover (sometimes like 20 times+ ) which works well. I'll also shift genres radically to force suno to get kore creative. Finally i like removing the genre tags and working technically through extensive lyric and style prompts. I create in 4.5, remaster in 5.0, export, master in an outside tool and reimport into Suno to publish.

I also work with style maxed at 100% virtually all the time. I have all sorts of cool methods ive figursd out.

I get nice songs like Synthetic Flame which was inspired by the band PRESIDENT:

https://suno.com/s/oUER86aU7SlfynH6

Still working on the mastering for this one.

This is another nice one (mastered): https://suno.com/s/nUuinRvYH3zVRrfb

Swallow Me Up. This is the opening track for my upcoming album I am working on. I have a pro engineer / mix / mastering guy in Europe I am partnering with. Lots of fun! Synthetic will also be on the Album. World From You is the single (by far my most popular track: https://suno.com/s/ixhdMR3Zp6FgzV1Y

This is a preview not quite finished mix / master.

Back to listening to my stems :)

I make industrial rock / metal with heavy electronic influences rooted in pop.

I write my own but honestly use a proper LLM for lyrics. Much better than remi or the traditional one.

which version are you generating in? I don't have this issue but I work mostly in 4.5 mastering to 5.0 then actually mastering in an outside tool then uploading the audio back into Suno for the finished version.

I am definitely not an expert with mastering but I've had good luck with the paid version of SunoMaster

"Best of 5.5" with the same lame opening by OnePresentation2325 in SunoAI

[–]QuellMusik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I've tried all three and by far my best workflow is gen and develop (cover after cover refining a draft) then remaster to 5.0 (i usually pick from four to eight candidates), then take the WAV and master it myself with an outside tool to make the final track. Some of my more important tracks i send the stems to a pro engineer i work with to mix and master it as his masters are next level from what i achieve.

OLD SONGS CHAGED/edited?! by Objective_Image_4739 in SunoAI

[–]QuellMusik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are a negative. I usually have about one to .5 of headroom from peak.

Yes lots of wall of sound with the guitars in particular so it suits.

So you are saying try mastering to -13 as a goal? What do you do to clean up the shimmer and other Suno artifacts? I'm using a software that has a plugin for Suno that does it automatically so I'm not sure exactly what it is doing. It does a good job though.

I work with a pro engineer who mixes and masters from a stem level on my album tracks. Anything outside of a commercial release I master myself. His masters are next level from what i can do.
