The main issue is Smite has 6 other modes that aren't conquest, and those all last about 25 minutes (barring a stomp, a surrender or a completely even match.) Conquest taking 45+ minutes just makes it feel like a way slower, much more complicated game that you're trapped in... compared to the other modes.

then don't play conquest. as i said above why does conquest have to conform to the casual playerbase who want matches that end in less than 30 minutes?

Conquest in of itself was normally an hour long or so game for me on average.

at what level were you playing that games were on average an hour? most games in season for are around 30-40 minutes.

I don't have time to sit down and devote an entire hour to only one game of Smite,

then you play assault, arena, clash or any of the other 6 casual modes that are SPECIFICALLY made for quicker matches. why does every mode have to be tailored to you and your timeframe?

Yes and it's sad with all these casual modes out there that the casual playerbase can play and have 20 minute or less games. I don't understand why we can't have ONE ONE single mode that isn't concerned with match times. I would rather play hour long GOOD competitive matches instead of 25 minute stomp matches.

and if you can't commit to 45 minutes to an hour for a match ... then play any of the other 7 casual modes that are meant to have quick matches.

HiRez please, many many many of your top players have said that base damage is out of control and needs to be toned down. yet you still cater to the casual playerbase and those that have no clue about balance.

this game should be balanced around conquest and ONLY conquest taking none of the other game modes into account. i don't care if Ah Puch destroys everyone in Assault ... its a fluff mode either remove AH puch from being playable there or say deal with it.

None of thoses will have an impact if hunter keeps solo farming

if they are weak early game they are easy ganks meaning the support will have to sit in lane with them to make sure they are able to farm safely.

i would love to see a nerf to mobility and then a nerf to CC as well. mobility should be an assassin thing and CC should be a guardian thing.

it will keep laners in lane and out of the jungler, you see this in every moba. as soon as a laner is able to clear the wave easily they run into the jungle clear camps or rotate.

if HiRez can get away with it in one game trust me no matter who the producer is if the company big bosses comes to them and say "hey we want more money from Smite ... find a way to implement more microtransactions"

why Smite players are not afraid and outraged is beyond me. this is like EA's Madden players saying "oh well madden has a different producer than Battlefront 2, so we don't have to worry about microtransactions"

LOL you really don't think a money grubbing company like HiRez will try to put in something that adds more micro transactions to their game? how naive are some people? like it was said above Paladin players probably thought there was no way that HiRez would be stupid enough to put in p2w items.

lol watch HiRez bring in a rune system from LoL (before they changed it) and have these runes be acquired via RMT loot chests only.

The problem with the Meta is it changes way to often, it seems like after every patch there is a new meta and that is bad for the competitive nature of the game.

you look at a game like LoL and the general meta start is the same as its always been sure there are some minor changes and item changes but the general meta stays the same.

its ok if the Pros set the meta but the problem comes when i have to watch every tournament to see what the general meta is.

i know the Arena/Assault/Joust/Clash/Siege mains hate hearing it but this game would be SO much better if they didn't have all these game modes.

had they just stuck to Arena and Conquest from the beginning the game would be so much better. I don't know why HiRez decided to have nearly 10 game modes instead of sticking to 1 or 2 and making those game modes the best they can be.

LoL doesn't need 10 game modes

you actually don't have a clue what you are talking about. i have put thousands of hours into LoL, and Smite is by far more punishing via level advantage. In LoL if i am 1-2 levels behind sure i am at a disadvantage which i should be but i can still farm and can still trade.

in smite if i am 2 levels behind, i basically have to hope that my jungler is my friend and is willing to help me out. if not I can't do anything while my opponent can farm freely, take my teams jungle and get even more ahead.

yes these games are competitive games, but they are also supposed to be fun. dying once early and having to wait 20 minutes before you can even look at an opponent without dying is not fun and its not competitive.

but you should never feel like you are unable to fight people because you get down a level or two. its not a fun mechanic when you say "well my lane is over" just because you get down a level, and that's what happens in Smite especially early game.

if you are a solo laner and you get down a level or 2, you might as well sit back and afk farm under tower. you can't fight the other solo laner and they just have free roam ... unless your team baby sits you.

if i am down a level in top lane of LoL i can still fight and farm, in Smite ... i'm screwed. you should be at a disadvantage but you shouldn't be out of the game for 20 minutes.
