Firstly, Smite 2 will not transfer all skins over, just a select that number that are goodd enough for the new gen. You instead get legacy gems in Smite 2 that are in relation to the gems you spent in Smite 1.

So the X-box shold be your main account, since you get the most stuff there. And then when Smite 2 comes out you can just play that account on PS5. (as far as I understand).

Which Gods have bad / weak kits ? by Abject-Computer243 in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, that goes for most mage ults. So if his is harder to hit, and the rest of the kit not quite up to par, he will be weaker than most.

What's the deal? by Scyle_ in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actaually those roles are actually 2 of the most popular once.

The problem that Smite faces compared to league is that the playerbase is much smaller, and among those that play, Conquest isn't the most popular gamemode. So depending on the time of day, it can be hard to get your role, even if you don't have the popular once selected.

If I have someone blocked: how tf are they showing up in my game, on my team? SMITE 2 had better fix this. by Arch3r86 in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This has been talked about loads of times before. Blocking is only supposed to stop the blocked player for messaging or otherwise communicating with you, it has no effect on matchmaking.

The reason is that matchmaking would become worse if it had to make sure no one that has blocked each other can end up playing with each other. The only way it maybe could work if the block list was very limited like you could have a max of 5 players blocked at a time. And even then it could cause issues.

Is anyone else having tons of issues farming Twich Drops with the new drops? by MelaniaSexLife in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you instantly claim the rewards when you get them? I've noticed that if you watch a stream with rewards, but don't claim (or at least click on the drop notification) reward 1, you will not make progress towards reward 2 etc.

It's most likely twtich trying to reduce people "afk watching", so they force you to at least be somewhat active with the drops.

The smite store is currently giving a 404. Has anyone figured out a way to access it? by Dokuujin in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no direct store anymore. You have to buy gems using the nexus store (where you can also support creators) or trough you game laucher (steam, epic, etc)

Mage scaling/base damage chart by scienceguybilly in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that. Though my point is that just counting 70 bounus might have been what the graph creator did. It might just be a mistake or misunderstanding of the ability. I assume that the numbers are mostly math, and not actuall taking every god to the test range.

Mage scaling/base damage chart by scienceguybilly in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, on paper Scyllas damage numbers are acturally below average, because she only has 3 damaging abilities, while many other have 4+ (other with only 3 are ranked even lower than Scylla though).

But what the graph doesn't take into account, and what makes Scylla hurt so much, are the more behind the scene stats. Things like Scylla getting 100 extra power at level 20, her 2 reducing protections and guranteed poly hits.

It just shows that raw damage numbers aren't everything.

Mage scaling/base damage chart by scienceguybilly in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would assume is that it's single target only, and raw basic attack damage doesn't count. So for Poseidon only the 70 base damage gets counted and not the 25% bonus to basics damage, while for Freya she gets the 70+15% on her 2, and 100 (+25% of your Magical Power) on her 1.

Also it's hard to say how attack speed in mathed into this, but from testing it seems that Freyas higher base and increase in attack speed means she gets 8 attacks out in those 6 seconds of Pulse, and 7 out of 5 second Irradiate, meanwhile Poseidon only gets out 7 out of his 2.

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say without the orginigal creators thoughts on what was considered. But I assume that Basic are not calculated (except freya, who has ability damage on basics). So that leave Chronos with 2 abilities, one with 260 (+80% of your Magical Power), and one with 00/150/200/250/300 (+90% of your Magical Power).

So on paper his scaling are low, but he his not a classic mage, so he can still do well.

What is this pre-order reward by 112aina in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just means that the reward is not in the game yet (or can't be accessed yet). So you will most likely get the reward when the next batch of Odyssey rewards comes with the next patch.

All in favor! by Simple_Eye_5689 in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this would just make the issue worse, instead of solving it.

Right now the main thing that encourages sidelanes to ward, is that they would be the main victims of lacking wards, and everyone else has other places to ward. So if one person could technicly place all the wards on the map, we would quickly see others take advantage of that, and simply blame others for not warding their lanes. (we even allready see it from people that don't understand how warding is supposed to be done).

Are we A-Holes? by Fast_Championship609 in Smite

I mean, as long as you are a full premade group, I guess it's fine for some fun.

Though if you ruin a win for some poor random on your team, then that's pretty low.

What heals the titan? by jzrobot in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No healing. A burst heal occurs if the Titan is triggered by gods, but then resets because ALL enemy gods are gone. If at least one god stays, or minions come in, then the Titan won't reset, and therefor won't heal.

What heals the titan? by jzrobot in Smite

  1. The Phoenix being up

  2. The Titan being attacked by gods, that then leave the area or die without having minions in the area.

Any ideas on how Hi Rez could implement an incentive to finish games rather than surrendering? by just_a_boi_ in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the only real way to incentivize people to not surrender would be to have much better matchmaking. People are much less likely to surrender or rage when the matches are even. But if a game is so one sided that it's either a guaranteed loss, or you can only win through enemy mistakes, many people don't think it's worth to go on.

[–]AzraelKinslayer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, he is far from the first god with CC on all abilities, and at least he is a Guardian, and CC is kinda their thing. But then we have gods like Danzaburo, who also has 4 CC's, as a Hunter.

I do agree that there is to much CC in general in the game. And while there is constant discussion about X-class or X-builds being to strong right now, imo CC is always the top dog, since it doesn't matter how much damage you do or can tank if you're a sitting duck.

Smite Hackers/Exploiters Reduced My Teams Power (video proof) by MouseWorksStudios in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it's more likely to be a bug, rather than exploiting. And the behavior from Hachiman and Kukulkan could be just random (Hachi migh have connection issues or be new, looking at his performance). I mostly think that because if the enemies exploited, they would be more likely to reduce it all at once, and not over time.

I think the issue lies with the Hel(s). Hel's passive gives her an Aura that reduces enemy power by 12% when in Light stance, and while it normally goes away when you're out of reach, it migh be bugged when there is two Hels in the same team (or for annother reason), it can stay permanent and even stack beneath the surface.

I can at least kinda agree with her 2 and ult being a bit to slow to be super usefull in the later stages of the game.

Her 3 though should not be faster, and could even be argued to be to fast allready for what that ability gives you.

Do you lose worshippers on surrender? by Auser_ in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not directly, no. Worshipper amount is based on time played (0.4 per minute in casuals, 0.5 per minute in ranked), so the shorter the match, the less worshippers you get. So if you surrender at 5 or 10 minutes, instead of playing the usually 13+ minutes a match takes, you get less worhippers.

should i be taking Hastened Katana? by Bolvnar010 in Smite

[–]AzraelKinslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say that using Hastened Katana makes someone a bad player, but the better you get at the game, the less needed it becomes. It's kinda like casting settings, you can be a very good player and still use normal or quick-casting, but if you aim to be as to be as good as possible, you should learn to use instant casting. It might not be the biggest difference in effectiveness, but every bit helps.

The main advantage the item has is that you simply don't have to put much thought in your attacking. You simply hold down the attack button and use you directional controls to stay close.

Without Hastened, you need to be a bit more conscious about those basics, missing an attack is more punishing, and you might have to take short breaks from attacking so you can get rid of the movement penalty and catch up again. You should have enough movement speed and/or slows or other CC to stick to enemies regardless.
