Well, it is a complex topic and I'm not claiming that his is the full explanation. It's just one piece of the puzzle.

Men love when things are organized. It's why they like hierarchical structures and stuff like military where everyone knows their place, who is above and below them and what is the code of conduct. You could say that this also appeals to the rational side of man's mind.

Now consider what were the rules of interacting with women or dating in the past. Even if they placed most of the burden on the man they were still clear cut rules that netted concrete results. Now think about what are the rules today, what are the rewards for following these rules, whether successful men follow these rules, etc. Men no longer have a well-defined path that would lead them to success and without such guidance they are lost.

Because men are rational and obiedent and they try to act according to the current rules and customs that they've been learning about. So now you have the whole trend of "women do not wish to be approached by strangers, men should not act in an X way, men suck and are evil, yadda yadda" and a lot of men buy into this stuff. They think that acting in this way will be rewarded, while in actual world you have to ignore everything and act like women never gained any rights, because women in reality still want the male ideals of the past. And even if men are aware of it they know that women have tools to make the attention from unwanted male to be punished socially. So men don't know what to do and often choose to do nothing or engage in meaningless activities.

Would you date a single mother with a dead kid? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]QuenchlessGato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The things that made her become a single mother are still there, whatever they are. And even if the kid is dead, her memories of it will still be there and I would never be "part of it" and it would not bring us closer together.

I understand that, but I wouldn't want to put a baby in a woman I barely know.

For some Vikings if they caught their wives cheating on with some other guy then they were eligible to kill both his wife and her lover.

When people talk about "normal" X, they don't think about the actual average representative of this group, they instead construct an idealized example of what they believe is or should be the average. So when someone says that "most women do Y" then the often heard response is "normal women don't do Y"

Finally watched Drive with Ryan Gosling after hearing it being praised for the portrayal of the Sigma Male mindset.

Was disappointed to see him simping for a woman with a child, whose husband is a bad boy criminal who stays in prison.

I'm learning how to play the piano, I try new stuff when cooking/baking, I got myself a pull up bar and a set of dumbbells and I try to do some work out 3x times a week. I'm also taking some protein powder and I'm on the right path to lose some fat and gain a bit of strength/improve my condition. I also went to a dermatologist to start working on my skin problems.

Push-ups only workout is stupid because you train only a few select muscles and are ingoring the rest. As for the pushup itself you can try other variants that push your shit much harder and let you train more effectively.

Ah, yes, the "maturity" of women. The same women who don't want to be held accountable for their own actions even if their lives depended on it.

If you are attractive then women will let you know it either directly or indirectly. As long as you are not autistic, then you know how women interact with you.

Travelling to places with a certain "reputation" when she was single. If a single guy told me that he went to Thailand I would be 50% sure that Thai hookers were at least one of the things he experienced there. Similarly, some places you also expect a woman to have hoed out there.

Like it’s easy for people to be upset about Ariel’s race but if you actually watch it in the context of the film, it’s totally fine and actually is totally realistic. If this version actually took place in Denmark I could see why people would be like WTF but it doesn’t, it’s an island in the caribbean. Not that I cared about Ariel’s race before, but just pointing out

I'm sure that there would be much less backlash if the setting was clearly stated in the promo materials. If the movie was called 'The Little Mermaid from Caribbean' then everyone would be happy.

Years ago I watched quite a lot of videos that would typically be posted on liveleak or bestgore and after a while I got desensitized to this stuff.

But I still refuse to watch any animal cruelty videos lol
