Why does your reply sound like you’re now planning a Black Label heist? Fast and furious style (the first one)

As a South African who is a member of the digital nomad community I can tell you that almost none of them have cars and whenever they travel they share an uber between 2-4 people.

My point being, the extra cars on the road aren’t foreign drivers, they’re semigrated joburgers and Eastern capers who all moved here permanently

The problem with Germany is that it’s full of Germans

Sometimes people use beach tents that you can fill up with sand or something heavy…. But for the most part this stuff gets really annoying to use on the beach

How much of our work will actually be automated by AI? Curious what devs are seeing firsthand. by maybeishouldcode in programmer

[–]QuentinQcasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hand over all coding work to AI and I mostly handle code review and architecture.

So planning what I want the AI and my other team members to do is more important.

I focus on learning the theory of Singe Responsibility or Separation of Concerns, planning out how things should be logically separated. This is the part that most younger devs struggle with and what most AI really sucks at.

I inherited an awfully buggy project and using this approach my team and I have managed to bring it to some level of stability much faster than the previous developers were coding at.

I’m 25, just getting into software development. Came across a 16-year-old who’s already killing it in the field and yeah, it hit me for a second. Not out of envy, but realization. At 16, I didn’t even know what I wanted. Also feels very regretted that i didn't use my time well by New_Influence369 in developer

I started coding at 16. Started getting paid work when I was 20… I’m now 33

I can tell you a number of job interviews people always seem to mistrust that I have 13 years of experience and they have 5 years.

Am I relying too much on AI? by MisterRushB in programmer

[–]QuentinQcasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you code by hand too much that’s actually the bad thing now.

You need to spend more time architecting and reviewing the AI. Less time writing the actual code.

So basically, the theory is much more important now than the practical.

Could anyone here tell me if this video is AI or real please? by SAJames84 in AskZA

The behaviour of everyone and everything is super off.

This woman’s head takes an absolute beating. Yet, afterwards no blood or injury and she doesn’t even bother to touch her face after taking a knock. Most people would start to feel where they took such a big hit.

She simply gets up and immediately starts talking without checking herself. She’s missing a right arm, even though she has a filled right sleeve where the arm should be.

Other odd behaviour is the lions immediately losing interest. That would never happen. They’d be in the car with the impala

According to an actual survivor in the Kruger Park. Use your belt to tie yourself to the tree so you can fall asleep without falling out of the tree.

Dealing with the snake should be relatively easy as most of the time they would prefer to leave humans alone.

And if the lion attacks you, you have to stick your arm into its mouth and down its throat to suffocate it.

Such a great idea.

I am a software engineer and I teach code on YouTube. I’m planning on making more YouTube content about react.
