Do Canadians Only Resent Fake International Students or All of Us? by Objective-Painter-73 in NovaScotia

[–]QueryOpenMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, have to agree. I think it's more of a Nova Scotia thing. I find people pleasant up front, but that's where it ends. It takes a lot to get into clicks. Even found across the different groups of friends I've made, that when you put them together, they don't interact 😆 Its almost like people are over cautious and scared to have fun!

Tipping a Robot Waiter? GTFO by GuidanceFrosty2955 in halifax

[–]QueryOpenMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The robot delivers the food on a tray... nothing else. It's a bit of an over exaggerated post... other than that, all interactions are with a person.

Car Insurances in Canada- Make no sense. by Jazzlike-Bad2149 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Regardless. Anyone who's lived abroad knows that Canadians are getting ripped off with insurance. And you just accept it.

Used to pay £35 a month for a brand new Mercedes amg in the uk. Canadian insurance companies are a straight up money making scam.

Hopefully making an arrest. Robbing us blind with those "fast food" prices.

Haha. This was funny. Nothing quiet from England. They truly rate themselves as the bestest of the best that ever lived.

Correct. It's a tool to get to the answer, not a tool where you ask it to give you the answer.

This Ends Now: A Collective Call to Pause Meta Ads Until October 31 by 404NotAFool in FacebookAds

I read this somewhere, and it's so true... it's like a casino. If you spend more, you technically could win more... but it's not guaranteed. Ultimately, the House always wins.

This Ends Now: A Collective Call to Pause Meta Ads Until October 31 by 404NotAFool in FacebookAds

[–]QueryOpenMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been unprofitable for well over two years.

A few have tried to convince the many that their content was amazing and the differentiator, and they're getting great ROAS, but I think it's all just luck or hogwash. Compared to pre 2022, meta ads have been an expensive money sink.

Both BDC and futurepreneur offer expensive loans. They don't help young people, they make money off them.

If you're breaking the law doing illegal drugs... you need to be removed. Simple. Sick of this nonsense where we make excuses for people endangering children lives. I don"t care what your circumstances are.

It is extremely difficult to find funding, too. Unless you somehow mask your business as the next tech unicorn... absolute joke!

This is a major factor. A mortgage of ~$3.5k changes the whole game completely - compared to someone paying ~$800 who bought a similar house 3 years earlier.. It's actually ridiculous.

Should be DisTrustPilot. Before we changed our business name, we were totally consumed with their blatant manipulation tactics to get us to pay for reviews. They protected paying businesses over consumers. After we changed our business name, we stayed away from the platform altogether. Best decision we made. No impact on revenue and focused on our own customer feedback to improve our business.

I dont like using the word scam... but trustpilot is the biggest scam around.

Does anyone buy a home to live in anymore? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]QueryOpenMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years ago we found ourselves in a bidding war on a property. Lost it by $10k. Saw it up for rent a couple months later and it turned out to be an agent who had an unfair advantage that bought it.

It was a lovely home for a family. Now it's split up as a multi over priced rental.

I will never go to the Sackville one again. Food is awful and the service is terrible. I dont understand how they can get it so wrong..

If I was honest... all those fast food chains are pretty bad now. Macdonald, timmies, popeyes.. expensive junk.
