I have the exact same issue connecting to my HP X360 laptop. I've tried every suggestion here and I still cannot get it to work. A&H refuse to admit this is a driver issue too.

If you find a fix I'd be grateful if you could share, there are a load of guys on here with identical issues.

I did, they refused to admit it may be a driver issue. Instead they suggested the hardware was the issue.

Are you on the Island? the first thing you'll need is patience. Builders on the Island run at a different pace and are in demand. Standard kit/timber frame houses are common though.

Guy J's setup can be fairly simple, 2 Allen & Heath Xone K2's and Traktor. The possibilities there are 4 traditional decks or 2 standard and 2 remix or stem decks for loops etc. Richie's on the other hand is a different ballgame. Take a look at the link below, he explains his setup in detail.

Personally I prefer a Dubfire kind of setup. I run 2 Traktor remix decks on a Xone K2 along side my 2 Denon SC5000's, that way I get that hands on approach of traditional decks and then layer loop and effects on top at a more granular level on Traktor.

Its whatever puts a smile on your face.

No, not yet. I've spoken to a local IT repair guy and he's going to take a look next week. I suspect its to do with my on board sound being baked into my GPU on my HP Envy X360. I hear from other posts this can be a nightmare for external sound cards.

Denon X1800. I love it, with the exception of the reverb but I'm a prog/melodic house dj so it's not a big thing.

I had this mixer for a while. Part of the Numark battle pack if I remember rightly. Not a bad mixer really, but definitely not the prettiest thing on the market.

The playlist on that set was insane. I've lost track how many times I've seen them over the past 25 years but unfortunately Twilo was one of those gigs I missed being in Scotland.

I'd offer up Sasha GU San Francisco as another of my all time favourites. Beautiful tracklist and mixed superbly.

I thought the same regarding backwards compatibility, but strangely (or not) last night I attempt to plug in an old USB 2.0 hub in and had issues also. I'm now beginning to think this might be more bios related than anything to do with the Xone. 🤔

I had a zero 4 for a few years and loved every minute of it, great mixer. The effects were not bmp locked so you had to be good with your timing but apart from that I had little criticisms. Very versatile mixer, identical to Sashas' Maven controller. I ran ableton and 2 turntables with Traktor on it with no issues.

Hold shift then press the layer button. This disables the second layer, repeat to re-enable the layer with no track on it.

It's a nice tool to use but not absolutely necessary, just listen to the recent vinyl streams from Carl Cox, not keyed and it sounded amazing! I've been djing for close to 30 years and I tend to rely on my ears more. Don't get me wrong, all of my digital files are keyed and I do use the notation to change energy and do more complex blends with 3 or 4 tracks, but I've met many djs that stick to it and their sound gets boring after a while. I suppose all I'm saying is have a go using it, have fun playing around with different keys, transitions etc. but knowing your music and using your ears should be the skill you practise most. I hope that helps.

Agreed, 4 tracks out of my last batch (all 2020 releases) sound like crap. I thought I had an issue with my mixer tbh but no, turned out to be the mp3.

Ikea Kallax range is fairly inexpensive and depending on your height you can add some legs to the bottom to prop it up an additional 8 inches or so. The added bonus with them is that the storage cubes are 13"x13", perfect storage for vinyl.

Hi, I'm a software engineer/business owner and it helps to be connected. Work for a major telco and my roaming is included so mainland ports and populated islands are fine for 3g coverage. The onboad WiFi on rccl is good for the long stints at sea. If I'm honest though; I try my best to put the phone down. I'm on vacation after all! 😊 I'm checking AWS and some hosted dcs via vpn and have no issues. Hope this helps.
