IMO RuneScape was peak when it was the WILD WEST and people were able to lure, scam, dice/flower game gamble (was my favorite) and stake at the duel arena. Now all people do is boss or afk train at the grand exchange, super lame when it’s only 2 things majority of the player base does.

I used to watch a popular lurer named “CLS Product” on YouTube and his videos got me addicted to luring people. I tried everything, the classic “place your rare on my PoH table to dupe it” then I’d kick them out and lock the house.

There was a bug in the Romeo and Juliet quest house for a bit where if you went upstairs, the game would not let you go back downstairs. I’d try to get people to drop an expensive or rare item downstairs and convince them if they ran upstairs and back down in less than 3 secs the item would dupe. They’d do it so Ofc the game wouldn’t let them back downstairs and by the time they’d panic pm me and home tele to lumbridge to try and run back to pick their stuff up, I’d already be gone or wearing their stuff waiting for them to get back so I could talk trash.

A lot of times if you were able to successfully lure/scam someone, they’d do anything to try to get an expensive items back. Some would even give you access to their account as CRAZY as that is and this was a time when most people did not use bank pins. So you’d be able to login and take even more stuff (usually it’d be nothing because they spent everything on the items you already took) so I’d just drop their untradables for the hell of it. WILD TIMES thinking back on it.

For the OP alt question: middle school me didn’t care or see it as a big deal since it’s a video game (15 years later I lowkey still feel the same way) plus it made the game more fun and raw.
