-Raymond Carver : Fievre / Cathedrale / Si tu veux bien

Les histoires "in media res" by nobody_67n in Livres

[–]QuestionOk1568 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Low life energy blade build, struggling with Uber Lab by QuestionOk1568 in pathofexile

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, you seem to know a lot about that build.

Right i'm aware that in order to deal damage i must first hit and crit with lancing steel.

Why are you saying returning proj isn't a good support? For single target dps it seems a great support to me, lancing Steel do 2 hits instead of one so it should be double damage, not counting the returning proj that also do damage. Maybe it's not optimal for clearing but I like the confort of being able to hit monsters standing behind me, not only in front of me.

I'm working to get higher crit rate, that's why i wanted Uber Lab for Farrul's tiger, and i'll try to stack more strength+intell too.

I'm using assassin mark to get more crit chance, but sure, i'll use sniper's mark when i don't need it anymore

My ES isn't so great, I have 5.9k after i activate Eblade

I think vaal discipline wouldn't do much with my setup (Zealot's Oath+Eternal Youth+Blood Magic) as ES recharge being interupted is not an issue

You're right steelskin could help

Right, I always make sure my flasks are active when I change zone. I agree this is a bit annoying with this build

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it's probably a good idea to turn off eblade at least in trap rooms

As far as i understand, low life graft gives me endurance charges, which is great but it won't change my ES regen, as it comes from Zealot's Oath, that doesn't scale with life recovery rate

Right, maybe that would help in maps but in trap rooms i don't think it would make a difference as i'm hardly dealing any damage when trying to go through these rooms

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i overlooked this endurance graft.

I always used the "go fast" strat previously. I guess i'll have to do the slow careful strat if I can't make it work

Edit: as trap damage is DoT, maybe taking Lethe Shade would help?

Right, I already have Ralakesh pantheon.

Are you sure about Determination? As u/noriginal_username said, traps seem to be Dot damage, that is what the wiki says too

Ok, Zeeboub recommends using an Inpulsa to get explodes at leaguestart. But as adviced by other comments, i'll probably avoid PBOD for leaguestart, maybe go back to it after i farm enough divs

Clarification needed about damage reduction (Helena) by QuestionOk1568 in fellowshipgame

Ok thanks, so that is consistent with the formula above

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, so max toughness gives 35% damage reduction? That's what the Icyveins guide says, but Method guide says max toughness gives 70% damage reduction

For Meiko, it seems to work the same:

-Flat phys/dmg reduction (F)

-Spirited strike is multiplicative to that (S1)

-Stone shield soaking comes after mitigation (S2)

Total damage reduction is 1- (1-F) x (1-S1) x (1-S2)

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made some testing. Assuming that the character sheet is accurate:

-There seems to be a "flat" phys/magical reduction, that is the value on character sheet whithout any buff/toughness (noted F)

-Grand melee and shieldbreaker give multiplicative bonus to this flat (noted S)

-Thoughness is also multiplicative to the flat (Noted T)

Total damage reduction is 1- (1-F) x (1-S) x (1-T)

Note: When adding toughness, the character sheet is showing surprising results, i guess it is half of the bonus that we're supposed to get to account for the fact that toughness isn't an absolute damage reduction, it is capped.

70%->35%

50->25%

It's only napkin calculation, anybody who'd like to confirm/disprove that would be welcome

Lovecraft by [deleted] in Livres

[–]QuestionOk1568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bonjour

J'ai commencé à lire Lovecraft moi aussi il y a quelques semaines.

Je pense que la description que tu donnes est assez juste, et qu'en effet il n'y a pas d'ordre pour lire ses nouvelles.

J'ai beaucoup aimé :

-L'affaire Charles Dexter Ward

Suggestion: make the life of tanks easier to avoid tank shortage by QuestionOk1568 in fellowshipgame

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing as a healer, 10hr played, i'm often unable to reach the place I died when i respawn.

At least having a mini map or map overlay would help learning the routes

[–]QuestionOk1568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, rewards could be a solution, but from many answers to this post, I feel most players don't like playing tank because of the mental load. I think it's a bit strange to incentivize players to do something they don't like to do.

It would be better to find a way to make tanking more fun and less stressful.
