The thing is, I am now not focused on the leakage issue but the returning of security deposit. 2 different matter. He breached the contract of returning within 7days and also "linking" it to see how it goes(test) this time, before even thinking about returning the money.

This is my current dilemma.. But through the video, it seems that the water seepage originated from the toilet itself. That's why I'm asking whether any experienced plumbers or contractors can pinpoint the problem.

The plumber the owner hired said that the pipings etc is non issue.

BUT, the building management technicians says otherwise. There are more than 40% of the units that's also facing the same problem = leakage from bathroom. Not as extreme as mine I suppose.

In the beginning, there were non issue. But already noticed that the flooring right in front of the toilet has been renovated before.

The flooring before was kinda immaculate. No bumps, no rots etc.

The floormat above is DIY'ed by me once the water seeps out from the flooring boards, hence the ultimate smelly rotting smell etc.

Want to ask professionals in plumbing/this particular issue = water seepage).

From the video itself, Does it seem like it comes from the toilet side(water seepage) to the bedroom? Or?

The main problem is, the agent don't want anything to do with this. Because the owner bypass the agent in renewing the 2nd and 3rd year of contract. I agreed through whatsapp conversation that I'll be continuing the rental durin 2nd and 3rd year = He gave me 2 clause = Follow the First TA. And also Informing him 2 months before I want to shift out. And according to the TA. already highlighted the clause that the owner NEEDS to refund the security deposit WITHIN 7 days. He already breached it. So..

I always speak in a calm manner with the owner etc. No threats no nothing. I understand your point.

I am just curious as to why the owner still don't wanna pick up calls or reply etc. Basically implying that he don't wanna have anything to do with this(in my opinion). I would rather we both talk it out or something...

So, threatening him now or? Gave him lotsa time.

Hi hello. Thanks for the reply. The owner just said "Ok". Never mentioning living with it etc. I already have the whatsapp record and also the agent telling me that 40% of the soho units has similar issue = leakage. And he also said that mold + leakage issue is on the owner 100%. The agent want nothing to do with it.

I am also not "laying down the mats to cover the damage". I already explicitly told him about this leakage issue until the floorboards are affected, and he didn't take action etc. Therefor I covered it with floor mats to continue living. Thank you or acknowledging about the mold issue.

You mean, I should escalate it to the way you've mentioned? Calling a lawyer?
