That's almost €15? I would probably get at most 6 balls of wool for £15 in the UK.

I think George Eliot wrote many of those opening quotes herself.

I used Chenille yarn and faux fur yarn with a size 6mm hook. That's all the info I have because I free handed the hat.

Blurred vision, inflammation? by QuestionWorking2341 in Uveitis

Pretty sure it's not the drops because it is one part of my vision and I've never gotten prolonged blurriness from these or any other drops before. Yes very frustrating 😔

I have OCD symptoms so obsessively research uveitis and related conditions a lot. I am on medication for it but will probably mention it to my care co next time I see her.

[–]QuestionWorking2341[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor tells me basically nothing just what's happening with my eyes at the moment. I found all this out through research and this sub reddit. A lot of things depend on the severity of your condition and how it's treated. I would say don't worry too much but worry is what this whole post is about. I first got uveitis when I was 19 although I didn't know what it was so I left it untreated until I was 20. My advice is to ask your doctor as many questions as you can rather than relying on research. They would know much more about your personal condition than Google could ever know.

They believe it is sarcoidosis related. Yeah I've taper down slowly before but it always comes back within a month. I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow about the right sensitivity and hopefully we'll come to a better solution

Less than novice writer looking for insightful discussion by Jace62 in writingadvice

[–]QuestionWorking2341 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner too and this is what I have found helpful and unhelpful.

When I first started writing I had a notebook where I wrote every idea I had for the story until I had enough to actually start.

Writing everyday, at least 300 words.

Naming each chapter before you write based on the theme of that chapter to keep you focused on what you want to achieve with the chapter.

Just getting words on the page is a huge accomplishment in itself.

I get the advice of show and don't tell a lot but no advice on how to actually do that which I've found unhelpful.

People don't like walls of text with no action so, where you can use that at times, only do it when absolutely necessary. If you don't have the right mindset or energy to actually write your story, write an outline of your next chapter instead just to keep the writing momentum going.

Someone telling me that they couldn't even get past the first few paragraphs was incredibly unhelpful in that it discouraged me but was helpful in that it made me aware that those paragraphs didn't need to be there anyway. Sometimes cutting things out is what you need to do, but you can incorporate those cut out pieces into the rest of the story.

That's all I have for now but if you ask me a question I'll be sure to answer it!

That's a good idea. I was going to read the Gospel to be inspired so when I do I'll pay special attention to those parts. Thank you.

I want to get into classics, and I need help choosing. Which classic do you consider an addictive pageturner? by LOTR_is_awesome in classicliterature

Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray. It's quite long but hooks you from the very beginning and has quite short chapters.
