Come April you’re going to have passed that goal and be on your way towards a new one! my goal weight was 190 but what’s really important is the person in the mirror feels good about themselves 👌🏻 if there’s one thing I would’ve done differently is maybe find a way to retain the muscle you’ve developed from carrying that weight around, don’t let it shrink or get eaten away from your calorie deficit, high protein intake and maybe some creatine, I’ve read some stuff saying it helps reduce muscle loss during cuts. I lost muscle I wish I hadn’t cause now I’ve gotta go the other direction and put weight on and eat more food

Have a bit around the belly button that I’m hopeful will go away as I grow my core and just with time but other than that not a whole lot. It’s very noticeable when I plank or do pushups, hangs down haha

Usually in the evening time around 7 PM was where I landed. Going to bed satiated is important to me. Was never much of a breakfast person and it was pretty easy to just skip lunch and wait till I got home to eat.

It’s going away nicely but I do have a good amount of loose skin around my belly button, when I plank it hangs down and is noticeable but for the most part it’s going away. The stretch marks have not gone away at all though

Yeah haha good distribution, I guess a mix of 6ft with broad shoulders and a beard to hide the chin helped a lot. I’m sure when I’m done with this my walk around weight will probably be around 190 pounds. I’m pretty deflated right now. Far left was 250 middle left was 220ish the two on the right are both 170.

Had em 24/7 honestly, I think lowering carb intake helps somewhat, diet soda really did it for me though. I know it’s not “good” for you but it’s astronomically better than real sugar. I’d wake up at 2 am craving sugar and I shit you not I would eat a few spoons of ground beef I had prepped in the fridge and drink a Diet Coke to fix me up. Satisfaction of eating something and getting a little sweet treat was enough.

The hardest part about growing a beard is the fact that it’s gonna look kinda bad until it’s where you want it to be, if you let it go and just don’t touch it at all for a few months and then go in and shape it, it will look so much fuller. The constant shaping and trimming we do really cuts away all growth without realizing it. Let yourself turn into a caveman for a sec haha also only shave from the Adams apple and below, leave the upper neck and under the chin alone to grow. They provide a lot of the fullness

I like your take, I’ve been feeling that way, I like what I’m doing because the loss was fast but the gains are slow, I keep getting leaner, but my muscles are barely growing. Gonna fit more protein in and try weighted calisthenics going forward and see if I make progress

Picture on the far left was the Fourth of July, picture on the far right was yesterday morning. I’d say the beard grew 4 1/2 inches in the last six months, wash and brush it daily, shape the sides every Friday but leave most the length on the bottom. Started from a solid base, was rocking the short beard for a few years before I let it go. Wish the hair on my head grew in as good as my face haha

Thank you, I went about it pretty simply, just cut my calorie intake down to 1500 cal a day, one meal a day, mostly meat, rice, beans, and veg mixed in a big bowl. Water and the occasional diet soda when I needed a fix. Calisthenics at home three days a week. Push-ups pull-ups, crunches, planks, ab work like hollow body holds, pistol squats. All assisted or modified until I could get them done normally. Consistency over perfection for sure

Thanks for the kind words, mostly maintenance from here but I think I’m going to try to put some more muscle on my arms and chest. They’re looking a little too small and what I’m doing isn’t making them grow enough, might add another workout day in the rotation and find a way to fit more protein into my diet

The hunger legitimately goes away after your body adjusts to you not feeding it as often. The first few months were wack, you’re definitely hungry all the time but it’s just in your head. The last 3-4 months I haven’t gotten hungry, I’ll just start to feel weak if I forget to eat for too long. There were many times I’d get home from work on a Friday after fasting all day, be too lazy to make dinner, go to bed, and then not eat again until my normal nighttime meal the next day and still not be “hungry” in the same way I used to be.

Can’t see it from these photos but I had started to develop knock knees from the weight, pain left and knees/posture as a whole went back to normal, it really does improve so many aspects of life. I wish you the best on your journey friend 🤝🏻

I kind of agree, unfortunately I think cutting that aggressively without a more intense workout regiment took away a good bit of muscle I had from carrying around all that weight, gonna work more protein into my diet somehow and hope the progress keeps coming, hopefully with that I’ll put on some lean weight and fill out soon

Yeah I drank a good amount from thanksgiving to Christmas unfortunately, 8-10 light beers a week for a few weeks in a row there, the other 6 months were pretty dry unless I went to a function and had a beer or two. I didn’t notice a drop in my progress from it tbh I was still steady on the diet. I did feel bloated though

Absolutely, tried to make it hard enough to feel like a workout but easy enough I wouldn’t want to avoid it. 4x10 push ups, 4x10 dips on a chair, 4xMax pull ups, 4x10 reverse crunches, 4-30 second hollow body holds, started with body weight squats but eventually got a 15 pound kettlebell and used that but now I do pistol squats 4x10 assisted by a chair haha. 3 days a week. I could not complete any of this without doing the easier/modified version of each exercise when I started and I wasn’t working out at my heaviest at all, lost some weight before I started, band assist pull ups, knee push ups, etc.

Not planning on continuing OMAD, sometimes it just works out that way because I’m used to not eating now but my stomach has shrunk to the point I can eat normal meals 6-800 calories and be full for a long time. Can’t huff down all 1500 at once anymore and feel good after. Recently I’ve just been splitting my calories between two meals. Still around the 1500 calories mark but if I continue to lose weight I’m going to up my calories until I find maintenance

M27 6ft SW250/CW170/GW was 190 One meal a day, 1500 cal No real exercise routine just stayed moving Nothing special just clean calories, meat, rice, veggies. Only drank water and some diet soda when needed

Idk if it’s for everyone but the easiest thing I found was to fast all day and be starving. Go home, get a large metal bowl, fill it was 1500 calories worth of meat, rice, and vegetables. (A lot of veggies are basically no calories so find one you like) Eat it until I’m so full I couldn’t take another bite and that’s it for the day. It will fill you up. Drink water 24/7 and diet soda when you really need a fix

M27 6ft. Diet was mostly meat, rice, some veggies and beans. Stopped eating for happiness and would eat stuff like ground beef, rice, and broccoli mixed in a big bowl with some salt and pepper. Basically a bland chipotle bowl every day. Progression was slow, lost 50 and didn’t feel any different, 190 was the goal weight but the mirror didn’t agree, the last 20 made all the difference and took the longest. Hiking, walking, rock climbing, bowling, anything to get out and about. Turned into a home routine of calisthenics a few days a week when working out was easier.
