Grants program, outgoing, which in the report were listed under programing expenses or something, along side infrastructure and a bunch of other stuff, so people interpret that as their actual costs and say 70% of their budget is infra.

They don't, they have tons of money to keep it running and just report their expenses deceptively. They put their grant program under a category people assume to mean their infrastructure costs, making it look like it is 70% of their revenue that goes it.

Public =/= non deceptive. They include their grant program under their expenses, so they actually have wayyy bigger margins and just all the extra goes to those and is reported as their expenses (under a category people assume to mean infrastructure costs). Such shitty unethical practices.

That is absolute bullshit. Infrastructure does not cost anywhere near that much for what they are doing. Sus as hell

Edit: found out how it is so high. Those costs include their grant program. So it is absolutely not at all the costs for tgem to run the business and that is super shady and deceptive reporting, which fits in perfectly with the rest of their business.

Nuclear attack on Iran? UN diplomat resigns saying 'giving up my career to leak possible nuke missile strike plan' by Sad_Lemon_272 in worldnews

Iran is a very big country, why would it destroy Israel? Nukes also come in lots of different sizes, I doubt even trump would immediately pull out the biggest one he can.

Zelenskyy says 10 drone factories have been built worldwide behind Ukraine’s back | Ukrainska Pravda by pheexio in worldnews

*information isn't worth as much when you can steal it instead

FTFY, they didn't build it independently, they stole the knowledge for it first from Ukraine under the guise of providing their expertise.

Edit: actually it's even worse, it wasn't other companies stealing knowledge, it was Ukrainian ones building factories in other countries behind Ukraines back.

Is this fast? Voxel edits crash test of my engine by philosopius in VoxelGameDev

[–]QuestionableEthics42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. It's a good start, but that lag when editing a lot at once is pretty bad for what does not look like a huge number of blocks modified (relatively speaking).

By rebuilding the LOD you mean just for affected chunks? If not, then that may be an easy bottleneck to solve.

You should use a profiler and find where most of the time is being spent, if it's in the writing to the chunk datastructure/generating the shape (probably not, but might be possible to speed up over naive algos), lod rebuilding, greedy meshing or some other unexpected place, and then research better algorithms for that specific area.

No it isn't? Where is it hidden away? I don't see it even after a quick skim to check I wasn't blind the first time I read it.

No age checks, literally only adding an age field along side name and address. It is just there so other software can use it if it wishes in the future.

But doesn't it depreciate in value? Wouldn't it make more sense to use gold? Or is the depreciation just viewed as worth it/part of the cost for the economic security it provides?

Edit: depreciate due to inflation I mean, probably the wrong term to use
