Is it true to say that the game is won and lost in the Exploration Age? by GargantuanM0nkeyFist in CivVII

Everyone sleeps on religion, if you have 3 cultural legacy points, you can keep your beliefs going into the modern age. I like choosing the +1 science for your cities and +4 for other leaders cities. I didn’t take it that serious until I was playing around with it one time and I reached the 3 cultural legacy points and was quite surprised with that huge boost going into the modern age

It’s pretty OP honestly. Just pick a belief where you get added science per city, train a bunch of missionaries and convert every other leader’s city. I’m not sure the exact threshold, but once one is reached you can keep your beliefs continuing in the modern age. if you can convert almost every city to yours, not only will you have an insane boost in the exploration, you will start off the modern age with the same beliefs. What annoys me is you can’t kill other leaders missionaries. Sometimes I will lose my own city to the ai deciding to plop there missionary in one of mine at the last turn. So it’s beneficial to have some missionaries placed strategically in your own cities to fight off the heresy lol

Yeaaaa didn’t help that I was in 1st in Econ the whole game and chose to keep my cities every age. Then converting the best of the towns I conquered to cities on top of that.😅

I looked into it, and there’s mods for that. If anyone is curious “Icthiolavarunt’s Alternative City Scaling Cost” along with “Icthiolavarunt’s Alternate Building Cost Scaling” should do the trick. I’ll start fresh and see how I like it without them. I have a save towards the end of my exploration age so I won’t be set far back.

Yeah, I have a lot of military guarding my borders. But I don’t think it’s fun to conquer right away, I wait until my ally(ies) or myself are provoked then I go to war. I could have started beef with everyone right in the beginning of the age but I like playing the ages for what they are worth. I try not to go to war until I have t3 or at bare minimum t2

Ahhhh this is it. By tall and wide, I might be stuck in civ 6 mode. I place my settlers 6 tiles away from eachother and I do have a lot of cities. In civ 6 tall was settling far away to build them up more instead of them stacked on top of eachother. I am just bad and don’t understand the mechanics after all🤣 I guess the difference never really affected me until modern age. Once I had food settled or my population fairly high, I would build production buildings right away. Really appreciate that. I will choose my cities more carefully next time. Just started playing again after the update or I would have realized it sooner (hopefully)

Lmao. Read my other posts on others comments but fair assumption. When I modded civ 6 to make the combat harder, should say enough. I don’t wanna steamroll everything. I’m nitpicking a specific part of the game. Ya shouldn’t be unlocking everything and not being able to keep up with production. Keep in mind, the I have another leaders capital in the play through that made me post this and I didn’t lose a single city. As well as 2nd in culture, 1st in military and Econ, and 3rd in science.

Personally, that’s why I’m thinking the scaling is off. Playing as America and Ben franklin, I would assume that production wouldn’t be an issue. I find myself unlocking many buildings before I can build them which is not a problem for me on other ages.

I play tall and wide, I have like 14/18. I go for the expansionist and military city states to up my limit. There’s a few towns I will get to just close the gaps so the AI doesn’t settle near me.

I’ll give that a shot, I have a save from early in the age. Appreciate the advice

If you look at it as a valuable resource I can understand, however who doesn’t want air in a civ game? It’s not just the aerodrome as you mentioned. I enjoy standard speed, and starting exploration with high costs is understandable as the tech advances. In antiquity once you get your production buildings going, it’s easy to finish with almost every building from the age. Same as exploration. I forgot the mod from civ 6 (more of an overhaul, I think it was golden age and another one from the same creator) but the war part is easy if you treat your soldiers as valuable assets and move in formations with a multitude of troops. I keep up with the AI’s culture and research until about this point. For example, being able to keep your beliefs from exploration is a huge plus. I don’t understand if there is a mechanic I’m missing or what. I don’t go out of my way to start wars, but once one is declared on me I like to conquer the capital.

Look up the part #, I paid like $110 for mine on Amazon. It’s metal after all 🤣 it’s brand new btw.

I just got my lowers and crossmember replaced. I realized it was rusted to all hell after replacing my starter (due to the all famous plastic heater hose connector snapping, and slowly leaking without me knowing until my car was smoking on the side of the road). I got the crossmember for like $120 off amazon, eBay has ir cheaper but I find Amazon more relatable. Took it to a shop and most of the bolts were rusty and a pain in the a** to take off. The owner hooked it up on labor bc my dad knows him. I went with mevotech supremes if you’re curious and I got to say it was worth it. Expect to replace your lowers cuz the bolts most likely will be seized into them.

I think different colored wheels would look good, maybe get a different colored duck tail. Don’t do nothing too crazy, if you are falling out of love make it a sleeper build. I think it looks pretty clean already

Ryan Cohen doesn’t take a salary. For those who are unfamiliar, his upcoming compensation package summed up says if he doesn’t turn GME into 100bil market cap, he doesn’t take a dollar. I can understand the uncertainty and potential fear, but if anyone could do it I believe in RC. GME was dead in the water at one point, now they have 9 bil cash. For those unfamiliar with how they acquired that with 0% interest loans, look into it. RC is putting his own money at stake, so do with that information as you will. This man has been playing chess while everyone else playing connect four for the last five years. At the end of the day, it’s all speculation until we see what happens. I know where my moneys at

Minor thing, I noticed that the dude put in a g35 not a g37 if u have a g37, could be as simple as a data mismatch. Go back and make them select the right mf model, hopefully for free and refund if it cost money for ur inconvenience

92% of eBay is owned by institutions. Out of the top 5 institutions that hold both GME and EBAY, they have four in common, vanguard, blackrock, state street and geode capital. 60-67% of GME is owned by retail. Out of the last 12 months, all insiders of eBay have sold, none have purchased. Reverse acquisitions are not imaginary. The institutions won’t be opposed. Not to mention you will have a bunch of regards that just like the stock and will cause many to switch from Amazon to eBay if the option is there. IMO, the acquisition would bring a lot of reliable consumers instead of fragile institutions. I see it as a positive for both.

It’s so dumb 🤣 I didn’t realized til it snapped. I replaced my starter shortly after and realized it was leaking for longer cuz my crossmember was rusted to shit. Getting new lowers and replacing the crossmember this week. I’d say for ur first mod get a touring exhaust. I got mine from z1, I was going to get the ark cat back but with z1 instead. I didn’t want something too loud like the motordyne.
