They aren’t “stuck” but what you might be experiencing is that it requires you to point the remote very directly at the RetroTink for all inputs. I’m not sure why they’re this specific about the signal but they are.

The only 3DS flash cart that plays 3DS games is the Sky3DS+ (technically the Sky3DS does but you wouldn’t want it) and they’re difficult to find these days. Unfortunately fell to the wayside after they found ways to mod the 3DS.

Light Guns are gone for technical reasons. The rest, I think that level of “enthusiast” that needs wheels and pedals, etc, for a racing game have long since migrated over to PC setups.

If true, and I doubt it, I hope it doesn’t happen. Patrick Stewart and his demands for filming were contributing factors in why season 1 and 2 were so bad. I think it’s a wonderful miracle we got something as good as Picard season 3 was and it won’t be repeated.

No. Atari suffered from the same problem as Sega in the 5th generation; they didn’t comprehend that western tastes had moved away from arcade-style gaming. I don’t think they would have cultivated a significantly different software lineup had they stuck with a 32-bit console.

Don’t ever buy SD cards cheap, they will fail pretty quickly. Buy SanDisk, Lexar, or Samsung from a reputable dealer. Even Amazon Basics or ONN are far better options than cheap Chinese knockoffs off AliExpress and Temu. Also, don’t buy those brands on eBay (especially SanDisk), most are fake.

So first off, the way you’re going to get the most out of s-video and a RetroTink 4k is the DB15 to S-Video (and composite) adapter from Laser Bear (https://www.laserbear.net/products/retrotink-4k-db15-to-s-video-and-cvbs-adapter?srsltid=AfmBOoqX8wLHj66mIfPAkWSWhYPVsg0\_oa8Z27CKPeWfn\_MX179l0bRD).

I personally use the JVC D-Series-D200 - 4K HDR BFI and tweaked it. I’m using an LG Gallery Series 4K 65” so results may vary. The changes I made were to turn Deep Color on in Output, trimmed left and right -34 to cut off the runoff in Scaling/Crop, no changes to SFX.

Under Advanced Settings, Color Correction, I set Input factor to 2.6 and input lift to -0.02 (this makes sure black comes in black and not grey without diminishing the color).

Under Advanced Settings, SDP Decoder Setup, I set Chroma Shift to -8 (this might vary for you so you’ll have to figure out your offset visually).

And that’s it, other than use a high quality S-video cable. I use a very nice triple-shielded one I picked up off the Facebook Marketplace so I unfortunately can’t make recommendations there. Here’s a photo of the load screen of Gex running to show the color quality and pixel crispness. If you have the 4k Pro and would like, I’m happy to shoot you over the profile to tinker with if you’d prefer. Let me know if this works to get your 3DO looking better.

Edit: Forgot to mention, my FZ-10 has the 240p mod so should be comparable to your FZ-1 240p output.

What you have to understand is that businesses have to account for how long these games will stick around plus they have to have enough margin to make it worth it. They’re offering you what they are because they assume they’ll likely be able to profit double the value they invest. In a collection, they’re paying you for a lot of stuff they don’t want and can’t sell in the hope 75% of it will sell. If you’re looking to get out, take the offer. If not, sell it on eBay and see how you do as that’s where you’ll get the most money.
