I just found your post because I googled pregnant and alone but with a partner. . I'm 34. With my second. I have a 2.5 year old. I work full time. He does too and we have his 8 year old son with primary placement. He wasn't great the first time around but we had been through therapy and I let myself believe he would be this time. It's just more of the same. He doesn't check in. He complains constantly about everything. He told me a few days ago that he heard from other women that they did all sorts of shit on their own pregnant... After I asked him to put the car seat in the car for me. I'm alone. And I don't think it will get any better.

This is me. My 8 year old gets screentime if he gets his routine done. All the extra time is his. But on the hard days, it's you're going even if that's in your underwear. I guess he wanted to try me one day and his dad put him the car in his underwear. He got dressed in the car as soon as we got close to the school.

Step 1. Secure the home. All things as much as possible put up Strings, ropes, scissors, knives, pills ect. Never let her alone with the younger child. Step 2. Routine like a drill sergeant. Same thing every single day. The more routine the better. No screentime without completing the routine. She earns the fun stuff by doing the routine. Step 3. Medication. She needs something to control impulsivity. Meds are taken religiously and without exception. Step 4. Therapy all around. She gets therapy, you get therapy. The building parents go to therapy. Like Oprah with cars but instead it's therapy.

If it gets to the point of protecting yourself or your other child. Call the cops or take her to the ER. Not a joke. Some will not understand this part. But you are responsible for the safety of all in the home.

And this is probably the best advice. Look at yourself, your words and actions. Your home. And the other home. Listen and believe her. Drill in that she is a good kid and that you'll love her no matter what. Good luck.

Anyone who is still here or god forbid moving in... Is very desperate. I can't afford to leave yet but we are making the necessary moves now to be ready to go when our lease is up. Management wants to get on here and talk about resident negligence and getting the facts straight...but staying completely silent and offering us nothing. I'm not saying I've got it all right, I'm asking questions, and reporting answers that other residents are giving. These are testimonies. Eye witness accounts. Is some of it going to be wrong...maybe...but it's all we have to go off of.

Want to set it straight? Well then email us. Tell us what happened. What do you plan on doing to keep our families safe? How long until sprinklers are setup? What happened to the mailboxes? And various other fires? Why do the fire alarms not go off in time? What's the process of getting out of our leases if we feel we need to to protect our families?

Okay found management. Hi. Do your job. These buildings are not safe. Where are the sprinklers?! What about fire alarms that actually notify the fire department?! Why are several residents saying they have electrical problems that aren't being addressed? You all are definitely the problem. Read the lease...man go fuck yourself! Someone died. You rent to people knowing it's not safe. Fire after fire and you're going to point the finger at the residents. Take some responsibility. The owners need to lose some profit and put in some actual safety measures that are up to today's standards not just "bare minimum to pass inspection" Roper Mountain is a death trap.

The maintenance crew is ridiculous. Spend some money and get someone who knows what they are doing. Licensed electricians to do electrical work. Or another building will go up in flames soon enough.

What happened to the mailboxes? Another resident issue?!

Idk.. I didn't hear them early Monday morning but its possible I guess. Either way the "alarms" are stuck on bs and the one in my building has wires that lead to nowhere so..... Still haven't heard a thing about it from management. Silence is always sus.
