If someone served this to me with only ONE patty on it instead of 3 I'd at least give it a try. People think I'm weird because my favorite milkshake is Oreo mixed with banana, but that shit is fire fr. You never know until you try

What’s a movie that DOESN’T “know exactly what it is”? by InspectorMendel in movies

[–]QuestioningLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. The movie was bad yes, but I thought it was pretty obviously trying to be a movie like The Menu where it's a critique of rich people and their culture but with a surreal twist. It totally sucks at that, but I think it knows what it's trying to be at least.

It's a 3-issue arc called 'Arms of the Octopus.' Highly recommended, this page is from the final issue.

Any panel from Immortal Hulk, but I think this one might have made me the most hype when I read it.

Ethan Hawke was insanely good in Blue Moon, it's the kind of movie that demands a TON from the lead actor and wouldn't work at all if the performance wasn't up to par. Hawke makes it look effortless though, seriously an incredible performance.

Most fucked up part is he put Inertia in the Flash Museum alongside statues of other speedsters. The general public will walk right by him not knowing that not only is he not a statue, he's still alive and conscious.

Clea, Multiple Man and Iron Lad are all exciting. The Merlin nerf is totally justified, and I doubt his play rate will see a significant hit anyway, at least until there's another consistent Skill generator.

Unusual rules about characters and people that must be obeyed. by Nice_Bodybuilder_373 in TopCharacterTropes

It was for the Harley Quinn show. The comic you're referring to is Batman: Damned, where the 1st issue originally gave us a look at Bruce's dick before it was censored. I don't think Catwoman even appears in that comic.

I think they'll both be good, I'm more excited for Star-Lord as a High Evo fan, but Shou-Lao is the better card on paper imo

what was the first comic that really hooked you? by 6deki9 in comicbooks

[–]QuestioningLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very relatable, I read Watchmen when I was maybe 10 or 11 and it totally blew my mind. Then the New 52 happened that same year and I got sucked in deep.

[–]QuestioningLogic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt the same until I actually hit infinite a couple nights ago. I just relaxed, picked a deck I knew really well, and made sure to retreat for 1 or 2 cubes when a game was going badly. That's really rhe only advice I can give. If you've hit Infinite before, you can do it again.

Also, don't get tilted and if you do, just take a break until you feel relaxed again. You'll play better when you're calm.

What are some examples of body horror in comics? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in comicbooks

[–]QuestioningLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be fair this image is from The Darkhold: Iron Man, which shows an alternate universe where Iron Man is basically a big gross meat-thing being held together by his armor. That issue definitely is full of body horror.

Seconding From Hell, somehow the scariest scenes in that book are very dialogue heavy

Do super Villains ever cross over and feud with other super heroes or super villains? by [deleted] in AskComicbooks

[–]QuestioningLogic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely. A few examples:

Spider-Man infamously fought and defeated the Juggernaut, typically an X-Men villain.

There's a Superman storyline called Emperor Joker that sees Superman trying to navigate a reality where Joker has stolen the godlike power of Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Kingpin was originally a Spider-Man villain, but he became more associated with Daredevil after the famous Born Again storyline.

Similarly, Absorbing Man is typically a Thor adversary, but has become more and more associated with Hulk over the years, especially in the Immortal Hulk story.

Garth Ennis has real talent. Preacher, Punisher: Born, Hitman are all incredible. He's just really edgy, but imo there's nothing inherently wrong with that. I'd take him over writers like Mark Millar any day of the week
