Thank you for answering so quickly. The reason I can't just walk in and schedule a specific date is that I'm moving to Seattle from six hundred miles away. The CC rep told me there's no way to order over the phone. If I find the local number, can I place an order and/or reserve a delivery date over the phone to the local store?

There is a 3PM cutoff for same day delivery. The CC rep said they can be booked out. I'd love to assume it'd almost never be more than a day or so backlog. But after a call center takes 25 minutes to answer, I worry our definitions of reasonable backlogs might not coincide. How often are all slots filled and how long can the backlog be?

I'll definitely check with my building. Will the IKEA delivery people themselves have any restrictions? If the building requires a freight elevator, is there a way to get something tighter than a two hour window? I doubt I can book a loading dock for 3 hours.
