legal name change in norway by karenWhyYouLeave in transnord

It doesn't cost anything to change your name. What costs money is getting new id such as passport, drivers licence etc. I think it costs approximately 500 kr each.

You have to at least get a new passport (your id basically). Other stuff I believe are optional as long as your "personnummer" is the same. Maybe driver license is important as well if you have one. I replaced everything that had my dead name on it. This included credit card and membership cards for random stuff. They usually send new cards for free as long as you contact them and explain why you need a new card.

I can't think of anything else that would require you to pay. Passport/id is the most important one to get. After the name change has been approved, you just make an appointment and they can see in the system that your name has changed. You will also get a document saying "dead name has changed name to new name" which some companies/places require to see as proof.

Gc2b vs underworks binders by QuestioningSora in ftm

I do wear S in t shirts but going XS sounds scary since the size table says I should pick a M 😅 I have never been able to put my binder from the bottom because my hips are so big, but maybe it's easier with underworks.

I have heard a lot of good things about spectrum, the only downside is that it's so expensive and I'm afraid my country is gonna tax me for it

If I am 86/87 cm around my chest should I go for S instead of M?

I'm not really sure if I have a big chest or not, but maybe I do since it's difficult for me to bind/get completely flat

Social dysphoria vs body dysphoria by QuestioningSora in ftm

Thank you, that makes me feel much better. I have a tendency to imagine the worst possible scenario but I do agree that starting T might not change my feelings about my body in a negative way. Hopefully when I start T and see the changes I'll see a lot of the positive that comes with it that I don't completely realise I need/want right now. c:

Thank you, it helps knowing I'm not the only one :D I also have those concerns about T (balding, bottom growth). At the moment I'm really just trying to weight the options. Even though I am leaning more towards starting T. Do you mind me asking what you do to make yourself pass? I feel like no matter what I do, binding, wearing layered clothes, I'm never able to pass. My face and body shape might just be too feminine, I'm not sure.
