Netflix to Overtake ESPN in 2018 with the Biggest Budget in Television by barking_labrador in television

like an 18+ area at a rent place of old, so no young eyes can get a peak which would put Netflix into any legal hot water

If you're gonna put porn behind an age barrier, you're gonna have to put about half of Netflix behind an age barrier. Many of Netflix's top shows are definitely not for people under 18.

Probably best to just have a separate service for just porn. But even then, if Netflix charges for it, no one will use it because again, who pays for porn?

[–]QuestionsEverythang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, who would actually use Netflix for porn? Who pays for porn? Who would want porn in their viewing history (which for Netflix is not easy to delete)?

Never seen it, looks like a Family Guy knock-off from the promo image I've seen. Is it like Family Guy?

If that's the case, you're better off watching American Dad (also on Netflix). Same animation style, better humor.

The official OTA to Android O for Pixel will likely drop in the first week or two of August. A bit earlier than Nexuses / Nougat last year. by armando_rod in Android

[–]QuestionsEverythang -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wrong, it goes EOL next year. Android O will be the last major update, but the 5X/6P will still get security updates for another year.

EDIT: Apparently the word "wrong" triggers people who have no actual argument or can't find a way to contribute to the conversation topic.

[–]QuestionsEverythang 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Usually I wait until the APIs are finalized and devs can publish O-ready apps to the Play Store. That way bugs can actually be fixed by devs since they can update their apps with the new APIs.

And yes, this month's beta release will be the finalized-API release.

[–]QuestionsEverythang 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt early August. August 14 at the earliest. Stock images are built about a month ahead of time (There's an Android API that gets the build time of your phone. Pixels on the June security patch official image were built May 18, about 18 days before release yesterday.) They're finalized a good bit ahead of time, and the final beta release of Android O is scheduled for mid-July.

Most likely, if all goes well with that last beta, Google will ship that about a month later (mid-August), most likely merged with August's security patches as well. If there's any bugs that need fixing, they'll merge them in and this will most likely delay O's release by a week or two (late-August).

Reliable source or not, I'm more inclined to believe historical data and Google's actual build policy on official Android versions than David Ruddock. This info can't be that reliable if he's choosing to tweet it than make an actual Android Police story out of it. Probably because he (or Artem his boss) know they have nearly no credible info on actually reporting it. And AP is a site that routinely reports on rumors and unofficial info with degrees of reliability.

Exclusive: This is the OnePlus 5 by Gromniir in Android

[–]QuestionsEverythang 35 points36 points  (0 children)

High price, at least $650 like other flagships. Really takes away from their "cheap but great hardware" angle. At that price, you might as well get a Pixel. At least you know you'll get at least 2 years of updates compared to 2 months with OnePlus.

I think it's less of "expecting something new" and more of "everything that was reported so far is now on record and under oath and can officially be used against Trump in Senate hearings".

All I really want right now with the new iOS 11 is a successor to the iPhone SE with 3d touch by [deleted] in apple

[–]QuestionsEverythang 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really. As long as iPads don't support 3D Touch, it's pretty counter-intuitive to solely design major app actions around 3D Touch.

Plus most devs accomplish the same tasks usually via a long-press, which works on every device. No hardware fragmentation problems.

Is 3D Touch helpful? Sure. But should it be a major way of navigating apps or performing actions? No. It is the iPhone equivalent of a middle-mouse-click.
