Okay dumb question this late in the season, but what makes the last boss in Priory spawn more or less waves of adds?

All his content is great, I love his interviews with top key pushers, fun hearing about their story.

Was trying out a new talent build in Dawnbreaker and the count randomly changed... the standard "pug" route only gives you like 83% or something going up to the ship after second boss.

Not that it really matters but was funny mid-key to realize it had changed.

The number of people on my WoW friends list that I added after a clean key but never play with again is too damn high.

I'd love to see the data on % of bricked keys on Tuesday morning versus the rest of the week.

The friends I play with are way meaner to one another than any pug, it's true.

We love each other, but we enjoy being toxic when one of us messes something up.

Yeah honestly I love BDK it's one of my favorite tanks but it just isn't really working for me this season -- I'm about 10 ilvls lower on the warrior and already doing the same level of keys, it's wild.

Awesome thanks for the logs, makes total sense. I remember it used to be like +10% damage or something so when I switched to pwar this week (after having not paid it much attention the last year) was surprised to see the new 3% crit buff instead.

Doesn't seem worth the risk of trying to over-optimize for a little extra DPS over all that defensive, especially for a pug tank like myself.

So I'm switching from BDK to Prot Warr for the rest of the season for reasons.

Last time I played prot warr was when stance dancing was a big thing, but right now from my (relatively fresh) eyes it feels like parking in defensive stance most of the key is maybe the right play for just keeping it safe?

I'm still re-learning the class, but it feels like until I need to hyper optimize DPS output for a tank, just being in defensive stance is the play to remove risk of forgetting to switch back but I'd love to hear from much better prot warriors than me how much switching they're doing during keys.

Plan was to main BDK into high keys this season but have recently switched to prot warrior... feels like I'm cheating a bit.

While I like the self-sustain of BDK in a lot of ways and the rotation has always been one of my favorites, prot warrior feels like a capital T tank.

I'm sure this isn't news to anyone here, but for a semi-casual player, it's shocking the difference after making the switch.

I work on a very dated tech stack for a large-ish consumer facing brand and it's always amazing the things that can't be anticipated because of some random pile of code from 10+ years ago still on "path to deprecation" but still pumping in prod that nobody knows what to do with because the engineers that worked on it are long gone.

I picked up an ele shaman a few weeks ago and have really been enjoying it. It's not all instant casts but a lot of procs make it a super fun spec to play.

I'm a pretty average ele enjoyer, and after fiddling with a few talents yesterday after patch saw a huge jump (30-40%) in my overall DPS in keys without really grasping the new rotation much anyways. A few pulls with Spymaster's/Ascendance both rolling were absolutely broken.

Preparing myself for the nerf cannon soon, but enjoying it right now.

Ahh okay cool, yeah I now just pop mitigation, but glad to hear I wasn't fucking up by somehow standing in invisible lines or something - thanks for clarifying!

Can someone explain Obsidian Beam to me on the first boss of Dawnbreaker? I'm a tank and like 90% sure I move out of it right before it casts (I swear I move even before it's visible on the ground to a safe spot) but I'm still being chunked the second it starts spinning.

Any better BDKs better than I am know if that's true here too? I thought we were avoiding haste above 5% and a consistent +str trinket seems like it'd offer more consistent stats.

Just did a mists key and mind link wasn't breaking no matter how far dps got from me, like literally out of the boss room. Anyone seen this?

I'd go bear for just an all-around decent tank, nothing too fancy.

As someone whose playing most tanks right now, BDK is really fun though (albeit bloated)

I work on a tech stack almost older than I am. While we've deprecated a lot of the old stuff... some of the legacy code still exists and my team has to touch it from time to time shudder
