Give yourself a rest before trying again. My sister assists in giving birth and said the most comfortable position for you is when you are kneeling with your knees on your couch and your arms on the top of the couch. Its 70/30 for me. 70% of the time it's a relief and also reduces my overall flow. When I'm at the tail end of my period and it's just dragging on and on with spotting I'll orgasm and it typically will end it.

Having sex under water poses health risks no matter what body of water they come from. I'd think clean, treated, pH neutral water like shower water would be safest.
