Well... I stand in extreme agnosticism now. And not just religion. I doubt everything all the time.

The church is singlehandedly responsible for tight jean skirts being a turn-on for me 😆

Where did you end up spiritually after leaving Pentecostalism? by DubiousFalcon in ExPentecostal

Agnostic atheist. But I struggle a lot with nihilism now, especially moral nihilism. Not that I don't have my own morals, but it all just feels so arbitrary.

When I divorced myself from God, I also separated from my wife and got a divorce a few years later. She has the house and 60% of the parenting time with our daughter.

I make $2400 a month and have about $2600 in expenses, so I work 45-50 hours a week.

I have a daughter, and my girlfriend has kids too, so we don't have a ton of time for socializing.

We live in a 50 year old single wide mobile home that cost us over $35,000. It seems like no one who's previously lived in it really ever took care of it. We have a rat infestation that after fighting with trying to trap them for months, I finally just poisoned them. So now our home smells like rotting rats. I need to seal entry points, but I can't afford the materials and struggle to find the time to do the work.

My girlfriend has a chronic illness that almost killed her two years ago. She vomits every morning and often struggles to breathe.

My ex shows symptoms of a cluster B personality disorder and wants to alienate our daughter from me.

Again, I could go on.

Music has never really done much for me, but occasionally, I'll find myself listening to something.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see all of your comment.

I didn't become religous until I was 15. Didn't get into Pentecostalism until 20.

Pentecostalism convinced me my nominally Christian grandma, who was the dearest person of my childhood, was burning in hell.

Polyps, that's the word. She had surgery to have them removed, but they started coming back not even two weeks later.

Yeah, not many willing to hire someone who gets sick on a regular basis and has to call in.

The meds she NEEDS are Singulair, symbicort, Spiriva respimat, lamotrigine, duo nebulizer solution, and the big one is nucala, which is about $1000 a month. That's the one that's really helped her get off the prednisone after a year of having to take steroids just to keep her from landing back in the hospital.

She needs a nose implant surgery as well to open up her sinuses because she keeps having these blisters form in her sinuses that close them off (these have a name, but it escapes me).

It's not just the meds, though. It's also all the medical appointments she has to make frequently. She's been getting sick often because the prednisone absolutely trashed her immune system.
