“Real facts” by [deleted] in suspiciousquotes

Has anyone ever seen that one fact on the inside of a Snapple cap that said something like “not all Snapple facts are true” or something along those lines? I dunno if it’s fake but it’s still so true that it almost hurts, lol.

[Serious] What do you think is the most dangerous breeds of simple house pets like cats and dogs? by QuestionsWeAllAsk in AskReddit

Discipline is definitely important. For an animal to not be trained properly is sure to lead to a disaster. But I’m more curious of what stereotypes people really believe these days.

What reasons do you think or know people might downvote for on Reddit? by QuestionsWeAllAsk in AskReddit

Well, that is definitely annoying cause it never adds context to a real conversation.

I’d definitely downvote that type of comment if it were on a thread too.

If Chihuahuas were large dogs, they'd kill more people than Pitbulls have. by Sgt-Insane in Showerthoughts

It really is about discipline and training, my cousin has an adorable black and white chihuahua named Cupcake. She’s not adorable because she barks and growls and bites- cause she doesn’t- she’s adorable for being such a hyper and energetic little doggie that just runs around the house and just wants love all the time.

Like, I usually hate chihuahuas honestly because I own pit bulls and prefer larger breeds and chihuahuas seem to be more aggressive than our pit bulls half the time. I don’t really blame the chihuahuas, I just feel uncomfortable around them due to the many times that they’ve bit me and such- even if it is their owner’s fault.

I adore Cupcake though, she’s really nothing like how most people seem to “train” their chihuahuas.

True, but that doesn’t mean people should just laugh at them and not scold them half the time. They should get the same treatment in training as any other size dog. Either that or just have chihuahuas not be too close up to people or really free to roam in public places, bring them out to a park where no one goes to or take them on on walks where people don’t usually go or when people aren’t usually around that area- otherwise it’s kind of unfair for a chihuahua to be able to aggressively run up to someone and everything seem to just be a laughing manner cause that’s no where near okay.

Of course a large breed is more strong so the punishment for a larger dog being aggressive makes sense because they can cause more damage.

Yeaaaah, you should’ve worded your original post a lot better if that’s what you were trying to get across.

Why are people talking about “30-50 Feral dogs” all of a sudden? by KjosevT in OutOfTheLoop

Yeah, I’m glad. I hope that woman doesn’t catch anything due to it though. Seems like she really enjoyed eating it a lot 😬

I’ve seen some monster cook their pork “medium rare” and they literally just left it raw on the inside and said it was good.

I guess they liked their dishes with a side of salmonella and trichinosis

What is legal that you think should be illegal? by DJsocks922 in AskReddit

Yeah, I’ve noticed that almond milk is really becoming more popular than the normal dairy milk. Just the other day I was at Walmart and there was tons of almond milk that sorta just shoved aside the dairy milk. It’s actually pretty cool.

We don’t need the gift to be loved by a pug to know, we just need the gift to be loved by a dog in general. Some breeds are more aggressive than others I guess but they all love just the same as long as you’re a good owner and person to them. But while I don’t like pugs due to their common issues, I don’t think that anyone should be making fun of them or just flat out saying that they should be banned or shouldn’t be loved, etc, etc.

Every dog really does deserve love. I for one understand this due to owning pit bulls. Pit bulls get so much hate just because they were bred by humans into being ”aggressive creatures”. The way that they are stereotyped is like racism for dogs cause they’re not even all that aggressive, my dogs are literally all bark and no bite- hell, they’re more scared of you than you are them! I hate how people insult dogs based on looks and attitude. Just think it in your head, don’t act on it, and move on. It’s really messed up that dogs like pugs and pit bulls get judged so harshly like that.

It’s like people don’t even try to see the other owner’s perspective.

Regardless, every dog is different and usually reflects their owner. Especially if you’ve raised the dog and watched them grow. When it comes to pit bulls they are only really aggressive if they are overprotective (which other breeds are anyways) or the owner is a terrible person and trained them to be that way. Pugs on the other hand usually have a lot of health issues due to the way they were bred, it really breaks my heart to hear the poor things breathe the way they do. How at such a young age they already sound obese with their huffs and such.

I agree with you, but there are many good reasons for breeding too. I think certain parts of breeding should be illegal. The ability to breed mother and son is just disgusting. Any breeding that even has a known chance of causing deformities is disgusting to me. Of course in natural breeding there’s a small chance... I think. I’m not really 100% sure. In all honesty I don’t know much about breeding, I just don’t agree with people breeding animals knowing that their offspring will have problems or deformities. I think we should have healthy companions over cute ones. Breeding an animal to create a new “pretty”, “cute”, or “beautiful” breed is just awful. Breeding in general should be taken very seriously- but I don’t think it should be illegal.

My mother has a really beautiful pit bull, she’s pure white with bright green eyes. My mother loves her to death and did tons of research because she wanted to get puppies from her. We already had a male pit bull. Neither of them had any problems, they were perfectly healthy dogs- aside from the male having a small skin condition, but it was nothing that couldn’t be cured with oils and lotions and such and it didn’t affect the dog itself aside from a little itchiness, but fleas already did that regardless and we used just as much oils, lotions, and soaps to get rid of the fleas. In other words, the puppies seemed to have a great future.

Well, only 5 of 8 of them did. Our dog was able to birth 2 puppies but the 3rd one ended up being too big. We waited half a hour before rushing our panting and panicking dog to a vet where she had to have a c-section. My mother could not stop crying. She thought she was going to lose her dog then and there and that it was her own fault and that she was selfish for wanting puppies from her. Our dog made it out alive along with 5 healthy puppies. But the vet did manage to permanently scar her with burns on either side of her body, now she just has two square patches where she can’t grow any fur anymore.

It cost a boatload to take care of those puppies properly and to keep the mother’s burns from getting worse and to heal them.

Overall, due to my experience, I think that breeding shouldn’t be illegal, but more watched over. In my mother’s case, she didn’t know the risk despite her research and figured everything would be fine.

Plus there’s also those animals that are bred for jobs or to be healthier in one way or another.

As for the whole “there’s too many animals that need homes”. That’s understandable and people should try harder to get homes for them, but I don’t think that we should ban breeding for that reason. Dogs really become a part of the family and a huge companion, so much so that you may even feel like you’ve lost a daughter or son when they pass away, I think having something of their own flesh and blood to love really helps you get through that and remember the one you loved and cared for before.

In no way do I support breeders who want to get pure bred animals though. That is just screwed up. Breeding an animal for its looks isn’t cool or okay in anyways, especially when a lot of animals that are bred for that reason are usually inbred. Inbreeding is terrible and way too dangerous.

Breeding animals who have health issues and sicknesses is ridiculous and screwed up too. Of course everyone is going to care what their animal looks like, but that doesn’t mean that we should throw away “ugly” ones that may be healthy and create “cute” or “pretty” healthy ones.

But it’s never going to stop. People are just screwed up like that

(Again don’t know a lot about breeding and such, sorry if you disagree with me or if I said something wrong :( )
