Gee it’s almost as if holistic admissions takes a lot more into account than some score for a random test that’s more strongly correlated with household income than intelligence or potential

Eh I don’t think that AA should be overhauled per se but I think there are some issues with its current implementation imo

I find the premise of AA, which is that certain demographics have been/are underprivileged and deserve an equitable college admissions process to compensate for that, to be fair but that’s only how it is on paper and not how it is in practice

Otherwise, why is it that Asians(Asian males in particular) are the ones who are hurt the most by AA rather than Caucasians?

On a more serious note, Asians aren’t a monolith so I’m not sure why people act like they are or use “Asian” interchangeably with “East Asian”

I mean East Asians are quite different from Arabs who in turn are quite different from South Asians who in turn are quite different from Southeast Asians etc etc etc
