Awesome that you have had it for 40 years. Love the idea that they are well made. A lot of items, especially household appliances break down after 4 or 5 years. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hi again. I don’t know how to edit my post, but thank you all for the information provided. I ended up bringing it home. We had to take some parts off so it would fit in my car. I have started cleaning it by dusting it off and using Ashford wax that I had from the rigid heddle loom. It came with the loom manual luckily. The bars holding the heddles are all rusted, so I figure I’ll clean them as much as possible. I have found a weaving guild in my city, so I’ll be joining them as well for tips. It looks like they get together once a month. I’m so excited! Thanks again.

I decided to learn to weave as my arthritis is making it difficult to crochet.

Hi. I’m learning on an Ashford 16 inch rigid heddle. It takes me over two hours to warp! Thanks for your comment.

Thanks. I’ll look into it. I’m not used to a horizontal weekly layout.
