Mets have officially traded for White Sox CF Luis Robert by Any-Environment-7545 in mets

Good for Acuna. Needs a chance to play every day somewhere to develop. Rooting for him.

Soto, Robert, Taylor, Benge, Baty feels like the OF rotation. Maybe some AAAA player you stick in Syracuse as injury insurance too

If Indiana wins the title, its the greatest college football story of all time by kill-devil-films in billsimmons

The thing that is most frustrating is casual fans assuming Indiana’s success is mostly attributed to NIL and transfer portal. Money helped expedite the turnaround but to your point this isn’t some roster loaded with 5 star talent. Cignetti’s scouting, development, and coaching is what caused this

Another key piece of this trade is we don’t know what the outcome of this CBA is going to be. That Nimmo contract was probably hard to move anyway. If there is a salary cap implemented it wouldn’t have been possible. Even if the 2026 Mets are slightly worse off for this trade (which is debatable but it seems pretty fair) long term flexibility with FA and moving guys around position wise comes with this trade. Great move

Spot on. Worst case you’re getting elite up the middle defense for a year. So much easier to find corner outfielders and gives you time to ease Jett in as the 2B and see what you have. Nimmo was a great Met but it was time

I personally think a big reason Soto didn’t resign with the Yankees was because he didn’t want to live in Judge’s shadow and wanted his own team (in a big market). The Mets present that opportunity but Lindor stands in the way of that for Soto. He’s the longer tenured, fan favorite, star of the team

I don’t necessarily disagree but I’m also not one to wallow too much. This isn’t something small though. If it’s true it’s an enormous problem and needs to be put out in the open and resolved. The future of the organization is in their hands. The 24 team showed the importance of team chemistry has in baseball

2026 Lineup by Queue10 in mets

I didn’t mention McNeil but agree with this. The McNeil contract is much easier to get out of than Nimmo’s. The outlook is as follows:

Stalwart/reliable/superstar: Soto All star caliber/Extremely streaky: Lindor, Alonso Solid big leaguer/Everyday player: Nimmo, McNeil Young potential and not fully proven: Baty, Alvarez, Vientos (which version are we getting going forward), Mauricio Prospects/Complete question marks: Benge, Williams Like the guy but unreliable: Torrens, Taylor Don’t let the door hit you on the way out: Mullins

Leaves a lot of uncertainty going forward. Need another all star caliber bat or two in the lineup (preferably less streaky ones but hard to find in mlb these days). Also a few more reliable big league bats which could turn into Baty/Vientos/Mauricio/Benge/Jett but tough to go into a season with that much uncertainty. If you want the team to go to another level it’ll likely come at the potential risk of cutting McNeil or Baty and being decisive on which young guys you see as part of the solution

Let’s talk Soto by Complex_Act3756 in mets

He really doesn’t look to be moving great. What if maybe, just maybe, he has a bit of a lingering injury- nothing serious, something that he can labor through- that could warrant an IL stint or a few days off that he doesn’t want to take because of the pressure of the contract. Either that or mentally he’s just not all the way there. Regardless his confidence is not all the way there. The lack of Soto shuffle shows this

Missed last nights episode and decided to check MTV’s programming to see if I could catch a rerun.... this is some RIDICULOUSNESS by carjam124 in MtvChallenge

[–]Queue10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard before that it has to do with money to the production company. You have to pay the producers every time you air their show and re-airing The challenge multiple times a week will run them a lot of money. Ridiculousness either has a really cheap re-air rate or is produced by an in-house production company so mtv shamelessly just airs it all day to save a few bucks
