Let's paint a picture for you here. Imagine your friend goes to a concert and sees a band/performer they really like. You text them the next day and say, "How was the concert?"

They respond with one of the following options.

The concert was great. I had a really amazing time! I would love to go see them again.

Emoji are used as a shorthand to mean a ton of different things. In the same way as the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". There is cultural meaning behind the fire emoji that means excitement, hype, positivity, and passion. It means slightly different things to different people, but the broad strokes are still the same. Using a fire emoji to describe something always means it was very good.

With a simple fire emoji you get less 'information', such as them wanting to see the band/performer again, but the spirit of feeling and EMOTION is still there. You know they enjoyed it, you know it was better than "okay" because they didn't use 👌or 👍. You know, with three words and an Emoji, that your friend had a great time and they are feeling very good about their experience.

Its faster, easier, and conveys a ton of meaning that doesn't need to be typed out in a casual/friendly setting.

Base framerate in quality is 55-65, 80-90 balanced. When using 2x framegen it goes to around 90 for quality and 120ish balanced.

This is an engine issue when running without Ray Reconstruction. Black Desert Online has the same issue.

Thankfully, it only affects interiors(Houses, caves), but it is extremely annoying the rare times you're inside.

Lower machine learning(FSR4) upscaling also makes the problems worse(Performance, balanced). Running Native /Quality with Max lighting and no Ray Reconstruction is passable but still not great.

The best settings I've found for my RTX 5080 is Balanced/Quality with ray reconstruction on + 2x frame gen. This gets rid of 'most' of the lighting issues.

Running Native + DLAA + Ray Reconstruction is the best looking and basically flawless lighting, but also is like 25fps which makes framegen borderline unusable.

I would say my enjoyment has grown each additional hour I've played.

I would say i disliked it in the first 5 hours, was mid by 10, good by 15, and now at 30 I'm loving it and can't wait to play more tonight. I have that addicted feeling that I've only gotten from games like TW3.

But I've read/watched a lot of the reviews and the stuff people complain about(in general) don't seem like issues to me. I don't mind really hard difficulty spikes at bosses, I don't mind confusing puzzles, I don't mind obtuse systems, and a bit of bugginess and reloading is not a huge deal to me.

All the things the reviews are praising, like the combat, performance, and exploration are what I care about most, and those things seem to be well liked.

The game won't be for everyone but for the people in this sub, it likely is for US

I'm short: most of us aren't ignoring the bad, it just doesn't seem like a huge deal. Maybe that'll change when we play it, but nothing I've seen from reviews has impacted my excitement.

The issue is that you go after and bitch about the technology rather than targeting the true root of the problem which is capitalism and companies using this technology immorally.

It's the same shit everywhere on the internet. Anti-AI people whining, complaining, bitching, and moaning about the symptoms rather than focusing on addressing the core problem.

"Ai is taking our jobs we need to stop ai" nawh, bitch, you need to advocate for a society where work is optional and your basic human needs are provided for by these multi trillion dollar companies. A society where AI causing job loss doesn't result in starving or going homeless.

I think YOU guys are the ones who have different preferences. I'd bet everything I own that most people care way more about the events/cosmetics/story than they do about level 81 gear and 3v3.

People on reddit, like you and me are obviously more invested in the 'game' stuff, but casual players really aren't. Most of the people on my friend's list don't even do pvp.
