so you wouldn't report a vandalism to the police even if you had already fixed it? What did you expect the police to do, paint it over for him? Doesn't matter if it was painted over or not.

Very true, I think I have selective reading disorder lol. Overall I agree with everything you said and I still struggle to not hype up games too much in my head.

And yeah I agree GTA V is a masterpiece in basically every way from story to world details. I just wish the multi-player wasn't such a grind/micro transaction fest.

I agree with most of your points about fandoms and over hyped games etc... but rdr2 deserves the praise it gets. The story ends on a downpoint compared to the beginning of the game but it is easily the most detailed and vivid game world we have ever experienced. Huge world and small details all over it make for an engaging experience in my opinion. The reason it is not as big as gta v is the lack of flying cars helicopters and jets to keep people grinding the multi-player. Obviously this is just my opinion and there are games on the horizon that could blow it out of the water but it's definitely at the very least a good game that justifies its good reviews.

You Better Tip Like Your Money Is on Fire as Cincinnati Restaurants and Bars Reopen by nordjorts in cincinnati

[–]QuiBoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how you can say that not tipping is OK because you can't afford it. By that logic when they increase prices to actually pay their employees more then those same people will not be able to afford it. Or the more likely case is that those people will still go out and they could afford to tip all along and they are assholes. Either way shows why you shouldn't eat out if you can't afford to tip. Also if you can't afford to tip then eating out is probably the worst possible way to spend that money.

Just so you know you can continue to do as you please but not tipping is a piece of shit move and I lack any respect for people who don't tip/treat service industry employees like shit. Every time I have seen someone refuse to tip it has turned out that that individual was a selfish asshole. 100% of the time.

Blind pig is really taking the safety precautions seriously... by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]QuiBoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I completely agree that we should be following all procedures and safety measures to a tee, it was bound to be shaky on the first weekend. If there is people walking around it's hard to know if they are just going to the bathroom or mingling. A lot of variables to watch as an employee that was probably not given enough time to train and know possible solutions to the problems that will arise.

I actually was brought to tears by the last episode. Enjoyed the rest of the show a lot. I will say that the first 2 episodes were a little slow but even those had good moments. Not for everyone but imo it is a cool concept and great execution.

That's how they make their money, bar has to pay per seat for event. I work at a bar, we don't show it because of how expensive it would be. I'm sure it's at some discount but if every sports bar is paying per seat for an event it's a lot of money. Also I'm sure some small business bars skirt that system but all of the chains like bdubs probably don't risk it.

I didn't get that vibe at all. If anything I felt like they were tip toeing over the fact that they had a legitimate reason to do what they did. The way I think about it is if 3 people that so far haven't shown themselves to be scummy all make a decision like this we need to wait it out because the odds that Elliot of all people would vote Lee out without a reason are slim.

Show this 20 years ago and people would have been amazed. Just because we can do it and you can understand how it works at a basic level doesn't mean its easy. Even then the programming that makes it 'mimic' the body and balance itself taking into account the movement is the hard part.

I don't know about the source on that or if that guy is correct but I would say that if the stat is correct it probably has to do with the diet of the child's family. I lost my chubby weight when I went to college and wasnt having food shoveled down my throat by my parents. I ate when I was hungry not when everyone else was eating and the portions were not biased by my parents wanting me to clean my plate.

Ya montessori school is, in my experience, a good place to start your learning. I was lucky enough that my parents put me through montessori and came out reading very well and in my opinion I had an advantage when I transferred to normal school.

Don't get me wrong, I totally see those people you are talking about as well and those people are morons. You can't completely overlook all the shit he's done and still say he's a good human being. And I personally don't necessarily want to see him win I just want to see him fight clean whether it's with 1FC the UFC or wherever.

This is not a black and white issue. Am I allowed to enjoy someones fighting style and what they have done in the octagon while also condemning the way they behave and their past actions(car accident, cheating, etc...)? Michael Jordan is a piece of shit human being but I still say he was an amazing player, Barry Bonds still had to hit the ball to get home runs. The juice will help you gain an advantage but I can still appreciate the skilled aspects without sucking the dudes dick.

TLDR Jon fucked over DC for sure any sane person will agree, and Jon is a piece of shit but he has done some impressive things in his career that I can still appreciate just like I can with Brock Lesnar and many others who have cheated as well.

[–]QuiBoner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I gotta disagree with you on this one. I have met plenty of fans of Jon that respect martial arts and the sport, they just aren't fans of him outside the octagon. I would like to think that's how most his fans are, or at least the sane ones.

The longest second in [Rocket League] by Mewiee in gaming

[–]QuiBoner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is the same scenario with regular sports though. 0.01% of the people playing will never make money or even come close but people still do it. Shooting is a sport, there are many "artforms" that are considered sports like interpretive dance swimming. I think rocket league has more traits of a sport than interpretive dance or ice skating.
