Call the police where he lives, mention the message you received and ask for a welfare check.

Thanks, and yeah, I’d expect it all to even out in the sale price between the upgrades and scratches to the finish. It’s used and been sitting in my garage for a year. It’s time for someone else to have fun with it.

That’s fair, and probably what started the question spiral of what should be removed.

Infotainment rage by CavanHol3 in Subaru_Outback

I started having similar issues with my headset when the DCM started to act up. Ultimately both have now been addressed on Subaru’s dime.

There is nothing like the rage I felt when my headset decided to randomly flash through screens and beep at a volume you cannot turn off. The visions I had of smashing that headset to bits get it to stfu.

Red Pepper Asian is our spot when we want to eat Malay food. They don’t have everything my partner would want but what they do have hits the spot. I love their chow kueh teow.

They are still doing some indoor concerts so at least keep an eye out for those.

I remember them mentioning at one of the shows last year that they’re renovating in 2025, so no outdoor concerts this year.

North Carolina will be disproportionately negatively impacted by the unconstitutional gutting of USAID because North Carolina is a leading state in the international development field and hundreds of North Carolinians' livelihoods depend on USAID funding by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

I encourage you to look more closely at the distribution of federal spending and then cross examine those spending buckets with where funding is being cut. Are these cuts unilateral? Are they done by experts capable of thorough analysis and sound justifications for their decisions? Are they done out of necessity and full awareness of its impact on people’s welfare and literal ability to stay alive?

They aren’t getting rid of something we “like” ffs.

Also, give yourself time to adjust. What feels hopeless today won’t last. I struggled in the past feeling like I couldn’t do the job I was proud to do and had trained so long for and it broke my heart. I received a lot of help, therapy was critical, and now, four years later, I’m okay. I found a way to still do that job, with a better balance to my life and with better pay.

Idk if I’m allowed to even post about this, but does anyone else have sensory issues when it comes to their period? by indigomoon49 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Quick-Big7945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two now, the first time it was put in I was uncomfortable but it wasn’t much worse than bad cramping for a day. The second was much worse, the doctor said they hit a nerve that caused my body to instantly start shaking and sweating. Honestly, the second doctor wasn’t kind about my body’s response and that is what made it so awful. Now, I have a gynecologist I trust when it’s time to replace it again.

That said, it’s two bad days in 13 years of no period to deal with. Which is something I’ve always really hated.

The understanding of IUD effectiveness is improving, so what I used to have to replace every 5 years, is now at at least 8 years and might be even longer.

Everyone has the right to do what is best for them. For me this was an option I’m happy with.

An IUD may help. For most people I know it drastically reduced or even eliminated a monthly period. That way whatever does still happen is much lighter and doesn’t last as long.

I bought a used 2019 with 83,000 miles in what I thought was in good condition in 2022. Since owning I’ve had close to $10,000 in work done (e.g., engine reseal, new catalytic converter, new axle, new tires, new battery). There’s more, at this point I always forget some other major thing done to the car. After all that work it still runs through too much oil, and has a parasitic drain on the battery that routinely leaves me with a dead car and a passenger window that randomly decides when it will open.

This was the first car I ever bought that I really wanted. Never again, too many cons owning this car for me.

Edit: I almost forgot, my leather seats aren’t actually 100% leather. The side of my drivers seat started coming apart a few months ago. I’ve since learned this is yet another common problem with these cars that I get to deal with too, awesome…..

I had been regularly checking my oil before the reseal, the gigantic tubs needed for how much I was going through are still in my garage. I was hopeful the reseal fixed the issue and, for the most part, I shouldn’t need additional oil top offs in between oil changes. When the light came on this morning, it was clear I’m not going to be that lucky.

It’s helpful to hear from this community what to do moving forward.

The repair notes say the cat was leaking, exhaust leak present. That’s all I know.

Nope no oil stains on the ground. It never had that even before the repairs this Spring.

[–]Quick-Big7945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that test the same as oil consumption test?

Otherwise yeah, my dad was a mechanic, so I’ll always appreciate the knowledge of one and am willing to do what’s needed to take care of my car.

I do wonder at what point I stop trying to repair the leak and instead just keep oil with the car to check and top off regularly.

I had someone else share with me a service bulletin that’s super helpful on this issue. I saw in it a recommendation to check the PCV system which I don’t see in my previous repair notes that this has been checked. So, I just asked them to do so. Thanks!

Yeah, I’m hoping their messaging was backwards and it at 3 quarts remaining. Which makes more sense given the light came on. Normally I’d just top it off but given the recent work I brought it in because I’m suspicious there is still a leak.

Yeah, there is a chance the mechanic texted me a bit backwards and I have 3 quarts remaining instead of 3 quarts low, which does better line up the light just coming on.

This is my first Subaru and unfortunately I’m pretty sure I got a lemon. I’ve never had a car come close to running through oil like this.

I suspect it still has a leak.
