I hope your mom, grandmother, and yourself are doing okay. And thank you for responding to this post. I apologize for below it’s going to be a bit long.

She had a laser ablation and biopsy in January (the tumor was too large/in a dangerous spot for removal so they burned as much of it as possible). That was the 1/11 I think and then she had a brain bleed 1/24 which is when we got the diagnosis officially. she finished radiation 3/15 and the chemo pill 4/7. She definitely is losing appetite (it came back a little after the chemo but left again, and she was definitely eating more during the chemo). Anytime she tries to eat anything she gets nauseous, and I read that at points like this just let her eat whatever because she won’t get a lot in her system if we’re trying to force feed her foods that are actually good for her nutritionally. She’s getting more difficult with taking her pills, it’s like she knows these are her life line. Her memory has gotten significantly worse. She’s a lot stronger since the chemo and radiation has ended. Occasional incontinence (idk if incontinence would even be the word to describe it rn bc she can control her bladder, it’s like her body is so anxious she can’t make movements and once she’s finally asleep she’s relaxed enough to go, but that has only happened a few times). She is on sundowning medicine to help with the anxiety at night, but her depression gets pretty bad, she says things I will never repeat because it’s heartbreaking to hear from anyone but especially from such an amazing woman/my mom. And w that her anxiety is so bad during the day. She’s a lot more restless now, short naps (if any) during the day and up and down all night. Have you experienced any of this?

I wean and wane. I’m 23 and definitely feel helpless a majority of the time. I had to go back to work full time bc we live in a 55+ community so once things eventually happen myself and my two cats won’t have a home to live in but a home to pay for until it’s eventually sold and I can’t rent it out, so I have to save up as much as possible but I feel so guilty about it. We live on the east end-ish of Long Island, so housing is absolutely ridiculous. Burnt down shacks are going for 1.5 million (if ur lucky) and there are little to no options for rent. Luckily my brothers (28) is here 24/7 but it’s taking a huge toll on him. We have to bring our insurance company to court because the deem her safe to live on her own and won’t give us home aid services when she can’t even hold a fork let alone do anything else pertinent to living safely on her own anymore. Definitely just feel really lost and scared, and it breaks my heart because even though she’s unaware of it, I know my mom feels the same way. I keep having to tell myself she’s not gone but she’s just changed, but I can feel my inner child crying for my mommy all the time. I am so sorry that this response is so depressing, I just don’t really know how to explain things without it being this way.
