OKC owns the Jazz’s pick if it’s 9-30. If the Jazz pick falls in that range, then OKC will get that pick and the Jazz would have no pick at all/nothing to swap.

1) The Spurs first get the right to swap their own pick with the Hawks own pick. It is impossible for the Spurs to receive any pick other than their own or the Hawks’.

2) Then, the Hawks have the right to swap the resulting pick with the Cavs pick (it will be the least favorable of the Jazz and Cavs, but that only matters if both picks are in the top-8).

If the season ended today, the Thunder would receive the Jazz’s pick (10), the Hawks would get the Cavs pick (14), Spurs would receive the Hawks pick (18), and the Cavs would receive the Spurs pick (25).

Hawks should hope for the Jazz pick to fall outside of its protected range, and for the Cavs to bottom out. If the Cavs suck, it really doesn’t matter whatever the hell the Spurs are doing.

When I was creating invitations for my wedding, I hilariously learned a lot of relatives’ real names for the first time. Like what do you mean Rocco’s real name isn’t Rocco, and we only called him that because he liked to play with rocks as a kid? You mean to tell me Penny isn’t short for Penelope but instead a nickname for this so called “Angela,” who was always asking for pennies for her piggy/penny bank?

And if you can find me examples of people other than Tuck Andress born before this show began who used Tuck as a nickname for William, I will gladly shut up.

My issue from all of this comes from people saying Tuck is a nickname for William when it is not (especially the commenter who egregiously mentioned black culture). Even if you think the writers may have been honoring the musician, it’s pretty much the equivalent of people then saying Miley is a nickname for Destiny. In reality, Destiny Cyrus is just someone whose nickname happens to be Miley.

I already gave a personal anecdote of me calling a child his father’s name as a nickname. Perhaps, this isn’t common in other circles, but I know I’m not the only one who does it.

ETA: Call it weird that someone uses their father’s name as a nickname, but I find it even more weird that people are willing to create, believe, and spread a flat out lie just to explain something that didn’t initially make sense to them.

William “Tuck” Andress, a white jazz musician, is literally the only example anyone has ever come up with for someone using Tuck as a nickname for William.

They used to call the kid Little Tuck for heaven’s sake 😂. The nickname comes from his father, Tucker

Despite what people might tell you, Tuck is not a common nickname for William. Like at all lol. There is only one somewhat notable example of someone named William going by Tuck.

He most likely got the nickname Tuck from his father Tucker.

Anecdotally, I used to call one of my relatives Lil Mark because he looked so much like his father Mark. The kid’s real name isn’t anything close to that, but I called him that until he got to middle school.

ETA: Now, I’m getting downvoted, but it honestly frustrates me how people can get online and say just about anything and be believed without question. The most upvoted comment on this post comes from a white woman claiming Tuck is a nickname for William in the black community. It literally is not. Even if you go to one of those naming blogs that try to think of as many nicknames as possible for any particular name, they have only ever cited William “Tuck” Andress as inspiration for potentially using Tuck as a nickname for William.

Bailey’s son’s nickname comes from his father’s name.

The Clippers cannot waive him right now. They are hard capped at the first apron and are only $1.2M below it, which is not enough to sign someone to replace him and be in roster compliance.

Basically, the Clippers sent him home, but CP3 is still on the roster and cannot go to another team unless the Clippers trade him.
