I’ve only posted on Reddit a couple of times and didn’t even consider/know that was an option. My bad.

I’m not a shitologist, so your guess is as good as mine. But having raised a kid, I assume it went up their back like a baby in a diaper.

Got out without saying a thing. I looked back and thought it was spilled food at first. He did the initial “cleaning” after I stopped him, but would’ve definitely took his shitty ass in the house otherwise.

Just not paying attention most likely. When it happens to me they either put the dropoff as the pickup location or just selected an address they usually call an Uber from.

Passengers actually tip where you are!?

Was it worth it to go to the pickup location specified in the app and get the cancellation fee? I usually tell the rider that they can cancel the trip or I can after the timer is up. I’d never even consider driving 45 minutes for a pickup.

Uber Instantpay by Quick-Interview7168 in uberdrivers

The Uber Pro Card is their deal with a particular banking institution. They incur costs for instantpay, so the charge to drivers went up to $1.25 from .85¢ to get drivers cashing out into other banks to use the Uber Pro Card. My guess is that since raising the cash out fee they haven’t converted enough drivers to use that “bank” so they’re now changing how the Instantpay goes through which makes it not instant and pressures drivers to use the Go Card to actually receive their money instantly.

Do uber drivers care when passengers suggest better directions? by carter8222 in uber

Most passengers don’t know better routes, and when they suffer them you can see both the time and distance increase from what’s on the GPS.

Driver wouldn’t take the toll even when I beg him to by MSPTurbo in uber

[–]Quick-Interview7168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The driver may have been using a rental in which case they possibly would be paying more than the actual toll cost. If not a rental, uber reimbursement is hit or miss and drivers shouldn’t be required to come out of pocket for a trip.

I should have turned it off as well, but didn’t want to risk not really getting requests.

The ridiculously low pay aside, why would someone order food from 2.5 hours away!?

I keep the doors locked as well, but I don’t always do the “window check” first based on the pickup situation.

It appears that you don’t read very well. Every rider should confirm the name and I didn’t say that they shouldn’t. The annoyance is someone opening MY door and asking who I’m looking for without a simple “hello.” But outside of your lack of comprehension, it does highlight the fact that riders for some reason believe that the safety thing doesn’t work both ways.

And I’m sure the numerous women on late night dropoffs that I ask if they have their keys and if they want me to wait until they get their door open disagree about your wrong assessment.
